Hi guys would like to preserve or make cool matching hybrids , if you had these what would you cross with what??
, most are fem unfortunately so looking for regulars possibly of same strain to pair with . Looking forward for your ideas

i didn’t know anyone had flying dutchmen seeds. i grew out their white widow like 14 years ago. light hint of sky blue buds. silky smoke with a taste of cake frosting if i remember correctly. horrible racing anxiety high that i hated but it was some very unique smoke. there are sure to be some gems in those packs.

What would you say to just doing general increases of each to share? You could then trade those seeds for pollen and other strains and get a healthy variety of crosses

You could reverse the best plants they would be s2s but it’s better than losing it totally unless you can source some older reg packs to find some males for them

Good point not sure however if you reverse fem seeds how the herm rates end up I rather use a reg male on fem but that’s just a feeling

Depends on the parent if it’s genes are stable then you will be ok however if it has the recessive herm gene in there then it will be worse like you said bud where possible you probably are better with a good male just to give you options at least

I will preserve preciously the HP and the AFGnica pure, inbred.
And chunk everything else with their males to hunt a fancy motherplant.

Damn i would love those afghanica from the frying Dutchmen! And the blue moonshine. For the Afghanica id use a male from one of bodhi’s 88g13hp crosses, loke the white x 88ghp
That would make some sensational sedating seeds. And id follow a similar route with the rest, ger reg blueberry or bubba shine etc and cross to the blue moonshine.

Being this old I would go as follows:
- Make F2s of Sensi Hashplant (only cause they are old) and the 3 Flying Dutchmen packs
- MAYBE make F2s of the Genehtik stuff just because of them being F2s of Spice of Life stuff but I don’t know Genehtik. Might be crap already
- Throw away the rest or sell it to some poor sucker
Share the F2s of the Sensi Hashplant and Flying Dutchmen gear with the community (you will find many takers) and ask for suitable clones or male pollen or regular seeds in return.
Grow out the progeny or make crosses, up to you. What would cross well to this stuff?
Depends on what this stuff turns out to be.
The old Sensi Hashplant is quite sought after, if I am not mistaken, a lot of Bodhi gear is built on a Sensi Hashplant male. Find the right pheno and you might add a lot of desirable traits to any cross (bulky buds, resin production, short flowering time, short/stocky Indica growth etc).
I would personally find the Blueberry Skunk from flying Dutchmen the most interesting.
FD was widely considered to be one of the better if not best Skunk sources and I think they were good breeders and might have some actual original Blueberry preserved in those seeds to boot. Could be interesting for all kinds of crosses as well.
Either way, don’t discount the option of making F2 seeds of these strains before you move ahead, as others have suggested.
The Cannabis gene pool has gone down the shitter in many ways over the past couple decades and a bunch of strains are already lost for good.
More often than not these days, the best possible source for many strains is someone like you, finding old seeds and making an F2 repro and sharing it on this forum.
I myself never planned to make F2s but after catching up on recent developments, I have made the decision to F2 my Karma Headbanger seeds from 2016/17 as well as my SSH seeds from 2015/2016 for example.
Both are technically still available from their original breeders (Headbanger restocks always sold out in days though) but I have heard several reports of people complaining they aren’t as good as they used to be.
AK-47 and Bubblegum from Serious Seeds are 2 strains I always loved and am very sad are lost and wish I had made F2s of them back when I had the chance.

By the way: Even if you fuck with Fem seeds (which I don’t) and aren’t soured beyond redemption towards Dutch passion (which I am), the Oasis and Isis strains you have there were already duds and universally negatively criticized when they were released back then (do they even still exist in their current lineup?).
The Blue Moonshine and Flo might be something if you are ok with hermie genetics but I dunno…
