Oldschool Grower new to OG! Hi everyone!

Hi Everyone,

I’m vajra, I’ve been growing since the 1980s when I ordered seeds from Neville and tried to grow them in a Phototron!

Anyway, I’m in Colorado, and after many many years of growing Haze variants, I have finally arrived at a variety I enjoy the most. And it’s one that everyone in the world but me has already tried and probably grown tired of: blueberry!

So now I am growing both Blueberry and Flo, both from DJ, and I have tons of Chimera’s BB crosses. In particular, I have a GrapefruitxBB (Sweet Tooth) that was pollinated (oops) with a C99 from Baudelaire that produced 70 seeds. I grew two just to see what would happen, and it is (possibly) the finest ganja I have grown. It has it all. Two plants emerged, both exceptional, but the one I kept alive has been called Ridgemont.

This has gotten me on the Blueberry train, which is why I am flowering (OD) a pack each of BB f5 and Flo f5, which I got from Seedsherenow.

I grow for myself, don’t sell at all, don’t go to dispensaries, and don’t have many real life friends who enjoy ganja. I also was active on IC and MNS (same handle as here) for a while, but always heard about OG. Now here I am!

Looking for a good Blue Dream cut to see what the fuss is all about. Anyone in CO who has one will be rewarded with anything from my stable!

Happy to be here!
Vajra

Welcome friend!

I was caught in the rain on a small mountain with an SRF monk once. His name is Vajrananda.
My first roommate had a phototron and ordered northern lights #5 from somewhere, grew one but moved out before it finished .

I am looking to replace a delectable Blueberry strain I had back in the day, so I started with DJ Short. I bought some F5’s from one of his approved vendors, and this is the 3 girls I ended up with from my initial venture. They stretched more than anything else I have in there, so I had to fold the top over on two of them as they were outgrowing everything else. I really wanted to see those fat colas stack up straight and tall, but they are still stretching.
So far not much trichs and none have the real Blueberry profile I was looking for, at least at this stage. I have faith they will turn into something sweet as they go on. It’s early yet. They are a month into flower but they were slow on the starting gun compared to the G13 varieties I had been playing with lately.

That pic was taken right after I opened up the tent to get air in there. Temp was at a hundred when I opened it up. Conditions are much less than optimum but they are still moving along. I figured if I was going for Blueberry I might as well start with DJ’s stuff. This African Sativa has a fruity bizarre and very attractive nose on it as well. I can’t wait to see what it finishes like. It came to me as Ohio Dumpster, but it was mislabled, and when my friend saw it he knew exactly what it was. It is pretty unique looking.

We’re on the same train! my three BB are outdoors, just starting to preflower, and are nearly 5’ tall after pruning (to keep them below the neighbors fenceline :weary: :grimacing:
Three BB and three Flo, side by side. One of the Flo girls is a monster. All have identical red-purple stems.
And I should add: these were the healthiest seeds from any vendor I’ve seen in a long time. (Chimera’s were always great too). The plants are vigorous, healthy, and though they have tiny mutations, nothing severe.

We’ll have to compare results. I am reversing a few clones of the BB mothers today to get some fem seeds in the fridge just in case!

Welcome to OG
I’ve still got my PTron II but never ordered seeds from Nevil :confounded:
I’m following along with great interest

I received some freebies from the OG veterans giveaway a few years back that intrigued me (Fraser Valley Blueberry Hashplant x Dr Atomic Blueberry Northernlights)

I decided to pop a few just out of curiosity and that led to a deep dive into the BB and DJ’s efforts.
A top quality high with legs and no come down is what I recall now. Still not sure what will come of this experiment as it’s outdoors and started way late this summer.

Just claiming my seat in the audience and welcome aboard

Just checked back here. Thanks for the greetings everyone.
I have 3 BB (f5) and 3 Flo (f5) outdoors in the garden here in denver. They are six feet tall and just starting to flower. I am excited, never had pure BB, and never had Flo at all.
