Oldtimer1 Colombian/Sativa/Haze(but not haze?)

What’s up folks. I figured I’d post this up for documentation. I suppose the statements I make here have the potential to be debated/argued. That’s not really what I’m here for. I’m just here to relay the story, as it was told to me, and to show the plants. That’s all.

Apologies if this isn’t in the correct area. I’m new to OG.

Photos below of what I call OT1 Colombian.

The story, as it was relayed to me, is such: These came from Oldtimer1 directly to an English friend. He held the beans for a long time, had them increased/sent back, shared the increase with a few people. The English friend and I have a mutual friend stateside. The beans were shared with that mutual friend, he OP’d them, and that’s where I came into the story.

I’m told ( and I believe, personally) that this is the same seed stock that ACE ended up with ( however/whyever) that happened. This is the same gene pool as the starting stock to what ACE called “Oldtimer’s Haze” but this stock has not been worked and is effectively preserved as it was when OT1 got it.

It seems to be agreed on that it’s a clean colombian. I haven’t ran numbers, so I haven’t personally seen it, but I’m told on good account that it throws the infrequent purple pheno. I’ve heard speculation that this line may be “Patimorada” but that seems to be logic based speculation with no confirmation.

What I CAN tell you, from personal experience, is that this is a flat out NLD plant. The examples I had inside went 24 weeks. If you want any chance of running them indoors to the end, you’ve got to choke them in small post for the first 10 weeks or so of flower and pot up later on. Topping and training aggressively would likely be effective.

Certainly not for the impatient or for those seeking instant gratification.

Some photos I’ve saved and figured I’d share below. Lets see if I can figure out photo uploads.

OT1 Colombian plant 2 trichomes shot.

OT1 Colombian plant 2 hanging

OT1 female at 15 or so weeks. 3/4 gallon pot. nearly 6ft tall.

OT1 Female 2 dried flower

OT1 Male plant that was choked way down and had the top cut out. This was only for pollen collection

The plant(s) I flowered to completion all had a similar structure and smell/taste. It smells slightly like REALLY faint floral perfume or some sort of cleaning product mixed in that with sorta “wild nld” forest floor/mushroom kinda smell. Taste is the same.

Effect seems to hit people slightly differently. To me and my body, it’s all brain with no body impact. Alert, laser focus, if you want it to. I don’t find it to be physically jittery, but it is a little bit of a brain frenzy. some others have reported more severe NLD type effects to their bodies. It takes a couple seconds for the onset to happen and then you’re left wondering if you’re actually high or not. It seems sorta hard to perceive the totality of effects until you go outside. My inner monologue was essentially, " Man, I don’t think that stuff is all that impactful." Then you get a drastic change of scenery ( especially going from inside to outside) and realize you’re QUITE high, it’s just real different.

Anyhow, that’s that for anyone that finds that sorta thing interesting.

Again, apologies if it’s landed in the wrong section. I claim a mix of ignorance and stupidity, if that’s the case.

Sounds phenomenal! Make sure you preserve this line through clones, seed increase, S1’ing or whathaveyou, and then of course….share.

It’s preserved elsewhere @Cbizzle . I’ll get around to preservation, eventually, but I’m just using it currently. It’s pretty well held, though. It won’t go anywhere before I get around to a repro. :+1:

Hard not to seed hound here on OG! Cool plants and great growing by the way! Thanks for sharing.

@Cbizzle thanks for the kind words. I covet seeds, too. Just gotta try and finish one thing before I move on to the next.

OPing this line is a pretty significant commitment. I wouldn’t have to run them the full 24+ week term for seeds, but they’re still an undertaking. The bastards take like three weeks just to sex under 11hours light. haha. They’re a big time and space consumer.

That’s beautiful @carolinacollection well done. I think those long flowering sativas are so bad ass.

I totally get where you’re coming from there. I’m working out of a 2*2 mostly.

@Gadarien they’re either bad ass or a pain in the ass. I’d probably say they’re both!!!

Nice description. Thats mostly like i experienced Oldimers Haze from ACE.
I had them in 0,7 to 2 Liter Pots until 4th Month in flowering. The took full six months to flower.
That variety is my very favorite Weed of all times. (I didn´t smoke all Weed on the planet i have to add, hehe…) Your description nails it very well. I found two different effect types. One very dreamy calming magical thought provoking and the other more electric, wabbering tunnelvision, waves of intensitiy, lost in your own mind. What they have in common is the fact that you described, if you focus on a task the high fades almost completely. If you lay back and chill again the effect comes back with full force like clouds gather and close the sky completely again. It affects the mind like a psychedelic, is euphoric, very kind and you have zero aftereffects. But it seems like it doesn´t work for everybody, and the apearance is like a birdsnest.
I love it

Nice post my friend
