Well it’s been a hot mofo back in Illinois.
Back visiting for a week, sons getting stronger has been going to pt x 2 a week.
If it wasn’t for family and some business clients still here I’d never come back to this shithole state.
I normally go there loaded for bear and come back empty.
That’s what 40 some years gets you in respect and faith. I’m sure there’s not a breeder out there that can boast that.
Theys growing skunks and 47’s in them there valleys.
And the weather here makes them shoot up faster than corn.
I cannot handle the h and h there anymore thats why I’m all points north.
Humidity just tears the fuck out of me.
Alright to visit but that’s it.
MN has been getting a bit of heat reprieve no rain thou.

I grew up in Bama, and the last time I visited I knew why I left. I couldn’t take that humidity anymore. It’s pretty dry here on average so I notice even a little bit of it. Freaking hot now with 22% humidity. Hardly any wind and it’s hot. I came inside and slept for a couple of hours yesterday. It was just too hot to be outside.
I went up to the lake a little later, around 5:30-6 and came across two bears. I saw one about 5 days ago in the same area, a large meadow area on the way down to the lake. I stayed on the road and followed them until they went into to a group of trees and and then drove up by them and they were in there. One popped his head up to watch me and I went on by and down to the campground. By the time I came back they were still in there. I think they were just escaping the heat and found a good cool spot to nap.
It’s hilarious how many people drove by me and had no idea there were two bears walking just up off of the road about 30-40 yards. Not one person noticed and I’m sitting on the side of the road watching. They were all driving too fast and in a big hurry for nothing. Most were from out of town and would have been excited for a close up bear siting but they never had a clue. I was going to let the people camping know that the bears had been headed that way before they stopped, but I said screw it. Let them find out on there on, hopefully not in the middle of the night, lol… I just shook my head as I went on out and home. People are clueless.

What lake?
Trinidad Lake State Park, Colorado. It’s only a couple of miles away. I’m out of Trinidad about 5 miles. I saw one of the Park Rangers today and was telling her and she said the head guy had been keeping an eye on another bear in my hood, just over the ridge from the lake. Another neighbor told me people had seen one wandering around behind their houses but it stayed north of me, maybe. I’m waiting to see a mountain lion, from a safe distance. We have a lot of them because we have so many deer. I’ve lived all around the west and I’ve never lived among so many wild animals that have no problem sharing your neighborhood, lol. That includes Montana. I love it here. Not many people, yet.

Wow trying to find my own Shack tough to do if it ain’t been visited in a bit.
Gotta whip out the brush hog and JD to find my way around.
Lots been happening made first trip back south in what a year or so.
Good to get back to see the old gang luckily everyone was good after the plague.
They wiped me out lock, stock and barrel stocked up for next year and a few winter projects.
These folks are my personal.testers very trusted group I went to school with, they know I take care of them been that way since high school.
The valleys are full of striped kitty’s and “47” cherry trees.
Went around and visited some grows, very nice.
All in the family are doing well, im home for a week then the onslaught comes, myyyy.
Friends and family filling the cabin for a week.
Got both camper sites gonna be full.
Work 3 days next week.then off for a week again.
Now things good till Thanksgiving.
Striking the heat, starting the stove and a big deep draw.

I’m kinda up in the air about not having nothing going on, actually miss the fuck out of it.
My boy and the gang down south is having a party thou, them boys always testing and running gear inside and out.
Specialist thru and thru, them country boys know how things to be been that way for centuries handed down from generation to generation, that and “shine”.
Kentucky and The West Coast always hard pressed to beat the midwest farmland boys.
We can get down with the best of them.
The bigger named breeders ended up in the legal areas but the real ones been hiding them hills of the midwest. Hence the popularity gravitated to Cali, Ore, and Wash.
Aint gotta thing over the good ole boys.

Finally getting some rain up here, now I spose it’s gonna rain 4 days straight.
Full house now till the third, nonstop fishing.
My kids are up along with a buddy’s grandson, kid loves to fish and his grandpa just had a heart attack and stints.
So I arranged for him to hook a ride with my kids.
Last time he fished from dawn to dusk and I taught him how to clean fish.
My folks will be up mon or Tues, ma goes in for another b12/iron infusion Monday.
She’s bleeding and can’t find where?
