I am blown away by your technique and process. Fascinating!
Thanks amigo! I still have a long way to go to get things running smoothly. I am so excited about how the rooms turned out with the white paint. The painted rooms look twice as bright but with less than half the wattage. I am also going to use a large water tank to mix all the nutes, than pump them into the room so I don’t have to mix nutes in each little rez.
Will you please invite me to visit? Please!
Bro you are welcome any time. ( I would wait at least a couple of months till I can have 2 flower rooms running 5 weeks apart so you can see more than one area )
I assume you are in a rural area. What are the laws regarding growing there?
Good Growin’ @Viva_Mexico!
No sir, urban. I wish I was rural. I am from and grew up in rural areas.
Mj is decriminalized for like 4-5 grams on your person but I’m sure it will still cost you like 5 bucks for some sodas to the cops just in case.
Urban or rural
Good news from the clone room. The first nubs have started to show on day six. I added clonex and checked my ph which was at 5.8-5.9
Happy to report that I have a full table of mom’s that are green crack x querkle but a verigation pheno. I don’t even have to label this plant. It is so awesome. I took 50 clones in 2" rockwool cubes.
Had a solid state relay burn.
thank you my friend. I hope to have the ceiling dry walled and walls smoothed out by the end of the year.
It is a huge pain in the ass to have cement and brick walls. You can not nail or drill wherever you like. there Is steel rebar hidden and it really sucks when you just spent an 1 measuring everything to drill a hole so you can do something to find out that no, you can’t drill there because there is steel. The load bearing cement mix is also impossible.
starting to dial in the lighting.
last cycle I used 28 lights. I have eliminated 6 for a total of 22. two rows of 7 and a row of 8. I believe the yield will be the same. It is always better to start overkill and dial things back.
When I had that problem for screwing things to walls I used baton wood 2"x1" and screwed that along the wall where I could get a fixing, then I could screw into the wooden baton where I needed to put hooks for netting etc
You could also use the baton wood for fixing your plaster board to if your not going to use drywall adhesive ( I hate cleaning that shit up ) @Viva_Mexico
The white room might make up for those 6 light anyway.
I am looking forward to seeing green in there as I bet you are.
So, are you changing from Flood/Drain to RDWC, or is that some sort of variation on water farms, or are you going to do F/D in the buckets or???
They look like two buckets stacked, and some of them are filled with hydroton. They are all connected, but I dont see the second connection for a circulating system, so Im confused and very curious.
Why the change, or are you doing both?
good questions
I have a designated mom room that has 4x8 trays with clay pebbles. flood and drain.
I have a designated veg room that I use 4x8 trays with 5" pots filled with clay pebbles and hydroton.
I have two designated flower rooms at the moment ( just need to paint the second one still)
Yes, two buckets in a ebb and grow style system. the top one has about 20 drain holes drilled in the bottom and the bottom bucket has a 3/4 hole drilled about 1/2 inch above the bottom of the bucket. The half inch gives you a little rez on the bottom. The buckets are not hooked up yet, that is why the picture is confusing. The 3 lines of buckets will be connected to a controller with float valves. next to the controller will be a rez. ( what is not in the picture) Today everything should be set up with plants in the buckets.
What a cool grow !!
