greetings . im hoping someone has some information on oni seed co.
from what i can see they were bought out by some global company praetorian…
other than this , i cannot find information about what is happening with oni seeds cultivars . are they completely finished or are they still selling their seeds. ? please feel free to share your opinions on this global company takeover and what it may mean to the quality of the seeds if they are in fact selling their own seeds still . cheers

I’d suggest just grabbing some bloom seeds from Harry Palms, many say he was the talent there.
Grab the Trop Cookies MTN cut or papaya, that’s Oni work from when he was there.
Oni seems kinda dead in the water and their recent strains haven’t made many waves that I’ve seen

some FYI information:
– Oni is rated at 8.35
– Tropicana Cookie is their “flagship” strain (bred and selected by
Harry Palms
– they have won 2 awards in 2017 for best non-solvent and 1st place for
best solvent and 1st place for highest terpene content - their “Strawberry Guava”
Today there are over 1,918 listed breeders (seedfinders) not counting other breeders not listed , SO many breeders get “lost” in the shuffle, so, so many new breeders

cheers bud . im not too up with the play on the scene in america/canada. living in europe i have only a small picture of reality and have to choose between what i can find in europe from america.
or i dont mind paying import taxes etc if i have to , but then i have to sift through thousands of seed breeders in a unknown. navigate through shark infested waters

Great seeds. I don’t see many around. I made some crosses a few years ago. I have some packs. ChiTownseeds has a few. Chi town has 3 strains for 88$.

Oni sold out awhile back and I recently saw a mix pack at my local cookies affiliated dispensary as a $1 promo.

That’s what I thought. I definitely like their genetics.
3 strains for 88$. Cheaper than I have seen anywhere.
What crosses did you make? Im also a fan I have a cut of strawberry guava that Im in love with.

I believe the pollen was from @lefthandseeds black Lebanon. I’d have to look it up. It could’ve been something else. But they grow out real good. Definitely a lot of purple.

I still have an original pack of his Tropicana cookies reg in my freezer I hope they will still be viable down down the road.

I think if you take care of them, they’ll be OK. I definitely see stuff all the time. But I definitely don’t need to buy any new seeds.
