In August 2024, 30 donors from this amazing community sponsored my strain hunt in Goma, the beautiful tourist city located in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
Thanks to their support, I was able to find the rare psychedelic Black African Magic
I announced my plans to visit the Pearl of Africa based on these reasons;
- Western Uganda has a similar tropical climate and soil to northern Congo. I believe that these factors are conducive for highly potent landrace sativas
- The unique terpenes found in the Ugandan Kerosene sativa make me believe that there might be other varieties with interesting terpene profiles.
- As the founder of East Africa Genes, I believe that I have a role to play in the conservation of landrace strains found in East African countries. It’s through visiting different areas of Uganda will help the local growers understand the importance of maintaining pure genetics for future generations.
