Operation fuck cancer grow

@crunkyeah I will trim it down more, knowing me I didn’t want to accidentally cut it too short before deciding the final location

I’ve got some ducting left and a couple PC fans would it be too weak to stick them in the ducting to pull air to the bottom screen port? For whatever reason my tent didn’t come with any ports on the bottom only screen windows

I’ve noticed that 4x2 tent manufacturers for some odd reason don’t put inlet and outlet ports on the bottom of the smaller tents. A 3x3 is the smallest tent I’ve seen with ports on the bottom of the tent. That said, if you can find some way to keep the light out of those mesh screen openings you should be fine. That’s one of the reasons I veg in my 4x2 and flower in my 5x3. The 4x2 has mesh screen openings and the 5x3 has actual ducting ports.

Not entirely sure what you mean when you’re asking about putting PC fans in the ducting. Either way you should be fine with your exhaust fan, and a passive intake. As long as your intake doesn’t allow light in, you should be fine. What I would do in your situation (based on what I can see) is open the back mesh screen (you have it covered with the velcro thing) and then put a piece of cardboard or something in front of that so you don’t have light leaks coming in from the backside of the tent. Normally this works well because your tent will ‘hide’ that opening because it’s against your wall. If you make sure you have something in front of it to block light coming in, but still allowing air to passively enter your tent, you should be good to go.

Any more questions just ping me again

I’ve gotta get the rest of the seeds going! I love looking at her lol

How does colorful weed dry? Does it keep the purple?

It depends some times it fades or is on the sugar leaf that gets trimmed off. You could cut back on the molasses if there almost done . . Plants don’t look like there suffering for anything how many weeks till it’s done?

That’s odd I wonder why they do that. Wouldn’t that make the lower half not really circulate air as well?

Open the back one an close the little side screen? The tent seems to be ballooning out, I’m guessing because the intake it off?

Nice job Heather…beautiful!

In my experience with my purple strain it dries just like green weed. It will maintain it’s purple coloration. You should make sure to enjoy it quickly because in my purple strains, they seem to lose terpenes and quality over time. Some of my purple stuff is cured about 6 months old now and it seems quite stale if I’m being honest. It was best right after it dried, without a cure. My $0.02 on that.

This is the orientation your tent should be in, imo.

If the tent is ballooning out, it’s because you’re pulling air through the scrubber and pushing it into the tent. It should be exactly opposite, like this:

I have a silencer before my fan that’s the only difference in my setup. This is also a 5x3 tent.

If you flip the fan’s direction and make sure you have some opening for passive air intake you should be good to go!

Flip your fan… You have it upside down on the carbon filter. When inside the tent, you want it pulling from the carbon filter, but when outside the tent you want it blowing INTO the filter. Ballooning tent makes me think air is being pushed in and not pulled out.

Do those filters work the same when blowing into it as sucking through it? Just curious, I don’t know. But I’d expect they were made to be used one way, no?

Nope, they can be used on either end of the fan. I just suggest taping as well as clamp to hold it on, as its positive pressure and not a vacuum in that orientation. Either way there’s resistance for the fan on one side or the other. I’ve even seen some manufacturers suggest it in their “multiple ways to use” diagrams.

Biggest issue, and its not that big, is filtering air for particulates before the fan, i.e. the dust sleeve most have over their carbon filter. And now you won’t be having a pre-filter. But scents will get filtered whether they are being pushed or pulled thru the carbon. You just have to check fan blades and wipe down more often, but thats easy because its outside the tent and not rigged up.

Thanks @Nagel420 …I was wondering about setting up outside but thought it might not work so well. Appreciate the advice.

I “think” that’s how I have it. It’s not blowing air into the tent, it’s sucking it out? The only air coming in is from the bottom screen and a small fan blowing into the top port

@crunkyeah I popped open the back screen, I’ll see how it works thru the day. I appreciate you taking the time to draw it out! lol

Testing if this works. I’ve got a some other videos to share if it does

Edit* how can I make it show up bigger?

@Heather420 Not a problem! Let us know how it goes. I have no idea about video hosting honestly.

Yup. Vent > duct at top works as a vacuum, air exits tent goes to the input side of fan via duct. Fan then blows into the carbon. once thru carbon scrubber air is in room and smells normal.

This generally produces negative pressure in the tent (for sure, if your vents are all closed, it will “suck” the tent in), this is how to know no scents are escaping. If the tent has positive pressure, it will blow up like a balloon and scents will escape as they are not all being forced thru the carbon scrubber.
