Organic and Synthetic Nutrients

Hey guys just wanted to show some of my commonly used fertilizers…both organic and synthetic. Normally I stick to organic medium with dry amendments and recharge but occasionally add supplemental products like cold war organics bud bread which I really like since it’s a wettable powder. Anybody run these lotus brand nutrients? I have a few times and was pretty impressed except for the random thick chalky texture. Also just use plain tap water ph’d to 6.5 range with citric acid or phosphoric acid

Nice, glad to see another “synth-ganic” style grower

I use a combination of organic & synthetic nutrients as well. Organics include EWC, compost, kelp meal mixed into my potting soil blend. Then using nutrients like Jack’s 20-20-20, Jack’s 10-30-20, GH trio mixed in with tap water and pH’d to 6.2 - 6.8

I’m not too familiar with some of the brands you’re using, but I really like the “Our Shit’s Better” tagline

Actually man I’m either organic or synthetic don’t think I’ve ever mixed them before. Usually will ride the sinking ship to the bottom if it’s under fed organic haha… Might be a fun experiment too mix and match on a grow

I use a combo in dirt, well Fox Farms Ocean Forrest. I use recharge in veg and Bloom. Use Alaska Fish fertilizer as primary source of N. Use Jacks part A (5-12-26) during veg and bloom, I just stop using the Fish crap when I switch to bloom and run full strength Jacks. I also put a few tablespoons of Seabird Guano (0-11-0) near the bottom of the pot when I fill it. And myco’s, I add mico’s to the soil and at the bottom of the hole when I up-pot from Solo cups. Love the Recharge. I use it once a week in veg and bloom, then when I start the flush I use Recharge. Can’t really use too much IMO, but the price keeps me from using it more, lol. Oh and I top dress with worm casting at the beggining, and when I start flower.

Do it!

Here are my set of flowering plants right now. They get fed 3x a week with their water consumption. Their medium is soiless (promixBX) with some earth worm castings and rice hulls (organic)

Nutrient salts (synthetic) 2x a week and the third is aloe vera + coconut water (organic).

The basement STINKS and these are being venting outdoors!

Coco grower here, so I love my bottle-feeds :+1::+1:. I never chase deficiencies or lockouts—and in the odd event that I do, it’s always quick and easy to recover from.

I’ve recently moved away from old-school GH Flora Trio, in favor of the Botanicare line. I just like the list of ingredients better, all the nutrients and supplements seem way less concentrated & just more “ready-to-go”, it’s not really a pH-perfect line but for some reason with my tap water, my mixes come out an acceptable pH without adjustment unlike the old GH products. Slight cost increase but end product is marginally better, & slight better ease of use so as to justify it.

Not sure if Botanicare is considered “syn-ganic” as most of the ingredients do seem to be more natural than the GH trio line which would be full synthetic by comparison. I definitely don’t consider myself a syn-ganic grower though because I’m not adding organic inputs outside of the Botanicare bottles.

Are you using Botanicare Pure Blend Pro? I ran that in DWC and it freaking rocked. I switched from GH 3 part to PBP and what a difference. I literally never used my PH meter after I made the switch. It seems to self buffer. If I was still doing hydro, I would absolutely use it.

Agreed. I really like pbp.

I think it is synth-ganic based on the label.

It costs a little more but if you buy in bulk it’s not so bad.
