I decided to grow some clones that I am close with and got them from a salt growing buddy that used them for mother plants. I like to grow in an amended peat based soil.
I made the mistake of flushing their root balls of the balanced salt feed and replaced the cations with gypsum(calcium sulfate), potassium sulfate, and soluble soybean meal.
I learned that leaving the salts in the root ball may have led to a better transition into the living soil.
I transplanted (4) my selection of JESSE PINKMAN aka Pheno No.5 (Snowman x Pink Runtz) - Savage Genetics into a 27 gallon tote filled with soil that was amended with, lime (calcium carbonate) gypsum, potassium sulfate, soybean meal, crab power, fish bone meal, alfalfa, and kelp.
I also transplanted the (2) PINK RUNTZ clones as well a (1) GELONADE
I am growing in a laundry closet using (2) Mars Hydro 300W LEDs to cover the 4x2.5 canopy
I pruned the plants and evened out the canopy and I have noticed what looked like an iron deficiency but is more likely a combination of imbalances after switching away from being spoon fed calcium nitrate.
I am observing the plant use its roots to create symbiotic relationships with the microbiology to uptake nutrients the way nature intended.
Yesterday, I used a lactobacillus application on the foliage and soil to promote beneficial bacterias to assist with this endeavor.
Here is a pano picture of them back in to the closet after the lacto spray.
