I might end up going back to RO.
I got lucky having ph down. I havent had to ph anything in a long time using jacks

I use tap water. When I mix up the Jacks the PH is 6.2 but it will climb up to 6.5, 6.6. So I Ph it to about 5.9 and it will settle at 6.2,6.3
They recommend 6.3 in the Octopots.

I’m definitely keeping a closer eye on my ph for now.
Our city water is from a deep well.

My tap water is usually about 7.2. Jacks brings it to 6.2 but with in 12 hours it will creep up. I’m not sure why. Ph down to 5.8, 5.9 after mixing and it climbs to where I want it and pretty much stays there. I’ve got it figured out for the Octopots now.
I think.

pic on the left looks to have a bit of the taco leaf still, but they look like they are producing some really nice flowers.

It’s like learning hydro again.
I think I’ll drop ppm this weekend. Lights and temps are all good. The 50 percent drop in light intensity for a week didnt stop it. They are still stacking and smell of lemon diesel

Excellent! :+1:

Was having this same issue. After talking with a guy at Torus Hydro, found out its hard water that does this.
My well was at 490ppm ph would climb over night 2 full points. Swithched to Ro and that problem went away.

I’m being lazy and trying tap water.
If I can make it work it sure saves some time and energy

Well that explains it. My water isn’t from a well but is considered hard. I just checked. 121 - 180mg/L is considered hard. Mine is 150mg/L
Tap is definitely easier for me.

Agreed, wish I could use mine from the tap life would be much easier.

@Hydro921 i think it’s doable using tap water so long as it’s 100ppm or less. Soft water doesn’t seem to play with ph like hard water does.

We have very soft. I’ve never checked ppm like I should.
Been lazy lately lol

Curling leaves turns out to be a ph problem

Glad you figured it out. I have given up on the one I have with the leaf curl. The plants in front are so healthy and growing so fast I can barely see her anyway. lol
