They will be in ground in 12in raised beds that I also dug down about 24-30in and replaced with premium soil years ago. I add a couple yards of new soil every 3 years or so.
I just amended the beds this year. High Nitrogen guano, high phosphorus guano, granular humic acids, azomite, oyster shell flour, leonardite, biochar, compost. I plan on adding a few more things before planting. They will get kelp and worm casting teas with beneficial microbes and mycorrhiza.
When this soil was new I was pulling 20 ish lbs. every year. Tree roots have invaded lower down in a couple of the boxes and I don’t have a need for that much herb anymore. So I just dig up roots working there way up into the top couple feet when I amend and turn over the soil.

Yeah man super excited about those! Hoping to get a nice male to cross into the other stuff I’m running. And I will be popping some Double Durban THCV later in the season specifically for making seeds. With a couple different males.
Only clones I’m interested in are Jack Herer cuts. I’d like a nice seed form jack that has the terps everyone loves to hate on in the new canna scene. There’s a couple online vendors including Sun Clone that have Jack cuts that are most likely the cut that circulated around the med shops in Nor Cal.

…. I was being lazy and not going out to actually look at what I had planted. Had probably just smoked as well 
.
I popped 3-6 of each strain and had decent germination, some of the older stuff wasn’t 100%.

These are from June 3rd, they had been in the ground for about two weeks at that point.

These are from July 30th. As you can see the 2 TKNL5Haze x Sawtooth Skunk had already started flower pretty hard. They are way ahead of anything else in the garden.

As you can see things got a little out of hand this year. The amendments really are doing their job 
.
I’ve had crazy big crops for this space before (26+lb in a 176 sq. ft. canopy space). This is all organic every year, but that really big year I started seeds on Valentines Day and had big plants at transplant. Also did really strong guano teas throughout the season.
Not trying to even come close to that type of yield anymore. But last year’s harvest was disappointing yield wise and plants weren’t the healthiest. So i amended pretty heavily this year a couple months before planting. With a very complete mix of Down to Earth products, heavy on the micronutrients (azomite, glacial rock dust, langbenitine, oyster shell flour, etc.) So far just been watering with either plain water or a microbe tea with OGBiowar and some molasses and worm castings. Also top dressed with a flowering ratio bokashi amendment and some flowering ratio guano in the middle of July.
