A just for fun outdoor purple romulan from
Nextgen seed company! Pinning it down the whole time, we’ll see what happens.
The soil it’s in i have been using for like 5+ years for growing vegetables. Its nice and rich under the top layer, but still just having fun with it.
I love Next Gen gear. Their ISS is an all-timer for me. Good luck on the grow dude!
Looking nice! That’s going to have many tops come harvest time ![]()
Planted some marigolds all over the place because they give off a strong scent that repels pests. So far so good. They repel aphids, whiteflies, squash bugs, nematodes, mosquitos, thrips, and a couple other insects.
Other plants that repel insects: basil, lavender, rosemary, mint, marigolds, and chrysanthemums.
Basil: repels flies, mosquitos, and whiteflies.
Lavender: repels moths, fleas, flies, and mosquitos.
Rosemary: repels cabbage moths, carrot flies, and bean beetles.
Mint: repels aphids, cabbage moths, flea beetles, and ants.
Marigolds: repels nematodes, whiteflies, thrips, and bean beetles.
Chrysanthemums: contains pyrethrum a natural insecticide. Repels ticks, fleas, roaches, ants, and bedbugs.
Other repelling plants:
Lemongrass
Catnip
Garlic
Chives
Petunias
Borage
Dill
It looks like their traits might be different between these two plants but its the same strain. What y’all think?
Cmooon oct!
