Hey all. I’m looking for a good outdoor nutrient recommendation. Last year I used some roots organics powders but rats managed to open and eat most of it. Before that I used the fox farms trio but i’d like to try something different as i only plan to use the trio + additives indoors.
If you decide to go with Dry Nutrients, I suggest you store them in Plastic Containers w/Lids. SS/BW…mister
I’ve seen Dr earth recommended sometimes
Edit: recommended cause it worked great
Dr Earth. Down To Earth. Kelloggs is some random stuff I bought at Home Depot for the veggie and flower gardens, it’s been doing well
I’ve used Down to Earth with good results.
5 gallon buckets with gamma lids. Love em’.
I always mixed in cow crap into my soil.
Never needed nutes till July, when we shot
The Shit to them lol.

From a coop:
From the hardware store or garden center:
All three above come in bags from 5-50# depending on your needs.
Coast of Maine has an excellent cannabis feed chart for their duo of dry fertilizers that I’ve used with good results:
Feeding-schedule-chart (1).pdf (775.5 KB)
Or there’s the easiest and least attractive to animals, Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 which I spread a couple pounds a year of around town on flowers, trees, and other nice public landscaping that needs a little boost in the spring. Very popular for the guerrillas for obvious reasons:
I amend my soil with this⬆️ Dr. Earth Tomato in veg and then Flower Girl, with great success.
I will also mix in other things like Epsom salt, gypsum, sea kelp, dolomite lime, AFF, and molasses(in water) as I see needed or at certain “checkpoints” in the life cycle.
I would stay away from any animal biproduct for outdoors in less you can amend in the fall. Rodents love
Bone and blood meal as well as fish emulsion like roots organic uses. Outdoors I like to use 5 ingredientes kelp meal, rock phosphate, greensand, lime and compost and some plants get a tea.
Get the 44lb bags of gaia green
Bottled nutrients, I really like the Canna line or House and Garden.
Dry mix, I like blood and bone meal, alfalfa meal, earthworm castings, some added dolomite and homemade nettle meal.
I’ve never had an issue with rodents messing with my herb. But they won’t leave my corn alone. I recently came across a video stating that they hate onions and by planting onions among your other crops it’ll deter them.
