This is my first post here or anywhere for that matter. Been growing outdoor for 15 yrs~. I have to be somewhat picky with what strains I grow here since I live close to the coast and fog/humidity can sometimes be an issue in mid-late oct. Here are some pics of seedlings I’m doing this season (transplanted from 1 gal pots in early July). They are s1’s from a Darkheart Nursery clone that I made in 2019, and have grown out a few beans each year since. Living soil. 200gal smart pot and 4x3 bed.
July 31st - Largest fan leaves I’ve seen from the Venoms. My hands aren’t small. Glad I took cuts from her because she is really vigorous with a 3x stretch.
In between updates for the current grow, so here are some pics from last year. Same spot, same seeds (Venom s1). 3 plants in the 200gal pot, 3 slightly different phenos. One smelled like pure gas, one was baby poo/asphalt/gas backend, one was gas/candy.
The big Venom in the 200 this year was planted @ the same time as the 3 in the pics from last year, and easily grew bigger than all 3 combined. It also grew 3-5x bigger than its sister growing in the raised bed this year. Fingers crossed the quality is what I’m looking for. She’s the most vigorous by far compared to 50~ of her sisters I’ve grown out over the years and the original cut. If so, I will likely be running a clone of her for a good while. I used the last of my s1 beans this season and never made more, so yeah…
