I use the shavings outdoor in the veggie garden with no issues is why it crossed my mind . But that is in ground not a pot .

Thereā€™s a place called Grow Generation at 55th and Garnett in Tulsa. They had bins full of 4 cu ft perlite, but it was the really chunky stuff. That place is packed to the rafters with shit. I couldnā€™t find Pro-Mix anywhere, and @Badger put me into this place. They had the 3.8 cu ft bales stacked floor to ceiling. Itā€™s the Costco of weed farming.

Yes sir, high gravity sells these.

It was much bigger before I mixed soil today. I used it as 50% of my aeration and pumice as the other half.

Yeah, that place amazes me every time I go, Guitarzan, itā€™s almost dumb for me to even go to my local places, cuz I have to hit more than one. If I just drive there, I can generally get all I need. If not, the other grow gen has it.

Iā€™ve been to grow gen, big corporate store, big mark upā€¦ we beat them in pricing across the boardā€¦ were just now getting our full line up of nutrients and soils inā€¦

exactly! Ive loaded up a few bags of the malted barley and rice hulls. that malted barley is some good stuff. I had a bunch of good fungi growing quick last runā€¦ I 10/10 recommendā€¦ and its pretty cheapā€¦ worth the drive to tulsaā€¦

mold central in any scene ive used itā€¦ not the good, the grey/white killey your plants kindā€¦ did a number on some rootsā€¦

I like to throw a handful of mated barley in my worm bin as well. It helps everything break down.

it really brings life to your soil microbesā€¦ you should see a nice white layer of fungus in a few daysā€¦ add a little blackstrap or kelpā€¦ You got your self some living living soil.

Itā€™s four elements grow supply. Im not working today but the owner john is. What ya looking for? We just got down to earth, xtreme gardening, Athena in stock. Some of the soil gurus base mix. We just sold about 80 pallets of soil. Waiting on our next truck now.

Rice hulls are great. Good source of silica for your plants too. I grew up in a rice, oil and cattle producing area and I canā€™t seem to find them cheap locally. Only Amazon. One would think feed stores would have them. Not enough demand I suppose.
