Iā€™m guessing you meant Grow Generation. How did they confuse you? I tell you man, unless I knew exactly what I wanted I wouldnā€™t even go in there. They have way too much shit.

Anyone know of an extractor that can do small batch ā€œhome growā€ extractions?
I guess first I should have said is that even legal here?
We were able to do such a thing in Colorado, just not sure if a medical patient can do so here or if you need to have a comm. license.
What say ye?

I went in thinking they would help me out lol WRONG! They gave me a brief description of stuff that I knew nothing on then pointed me to the most expensive line of nutrients ever !!! I needed to know what nutes and fertilizer would work for my first grow @schmarmpit helped me narrow it down to just some fox farm and some happy frog fertilizer/ocean forest and maybe some bloom booster but they ran out of the happy frog and ocean forest and only had a huge bag of the bloom booster I was looking for ?

Grow gen is shitā€¦ Couldnt get any help when there was 8 people just sitting behind the counter bullshitting

The folks at GrowGen are not knowledgeable at growing. Thier job is to sell you product. They do have a great selection of products but you are paying for the convenience of getting it right now, there is nothing wrong with that if itā€™s something that you must have at that time but you can find much better deals online if you are willing to wait for shipping.
I have talked to thier employees a few times about growing and I highly suggest you donā€™t use them for guidance as they havenā€™t a clue what good growing practices areā€¦
Just my 2 cents and a nickelā€¦

yes, its supposed to be legal, ā€œpatients getting product processedā€, producers can process patiets product for a fee. But ā€œwho is doing it for patients?ā€ is another canundrum. Good luck, cheers. Check the OMMA site for specifics.

yea their employees just want to wear the shirts and get the free schwagā€¦ chase at the mingo location and 1 other guy at the downtown location know some, but not alot. They are a corporate store so corporate mark upsā€¦ we beat them in prices across the boardā€¦ once we get fully stocked, its gonna be interestingā€¦ At our shop i love talking to and meeting the customers, finding out what kinda grow they got going, what their nutrients preference is, soil type, lights, etcā€¦ I instantly imagine it being my grow and offer suggestion based on that. Getting to know your growers that come in is so importantā€¦ Were really trying to build some friendships over profit mindset at the shop.

We are looking at adding alot of the bene insects once we can get a truck to deliver. Alot of distributors and companyā€™s shut down due to covid. So itā€™s a waiting game. On the crop salt, If you want it I can source it cheap for ya

Naw SubSoilSelections, most processors take around half(40-60%) as their fees and also usually want at least a 5lb batch to run. Thatā€™s because of the expense per run Iā€™m told. Plus they canā€™t take from unlicensed folks due to OMMA & METRC new regs.
Youā€™re better off just buying a small unit or making one, Imo.

Iā€™ve used my buddies account, and get way better deals than online.

You are correct that the employees do not know much about growing, for the most part. It really depends on which location and who you are talking to. I love the fact that I can go to one place and get everything I need (almost).

Having sad that, Iā€™m definitely going to have to go check out four elements. I hear they have good help.

At the risk of stepping on toes, I classify an Oklahoma grower (excluding a few on here) as the lowest source of growing information I can get. I have heard and seen of some of the dumbest practices on growing cannabis in the state. Iā€™ve asked so many questions that. Know the answer to and got jacked up answers, and plenty of dumb looks. Do your homework. It is up to you as the grower.

Also, like guitarzan said, know what you are looking for before you go in. By definition a retail employee is there to sell you expensive stuff. Be educated before you go in, and be prepared to google if you have any doubts.
