I’ve picked up double knockout roses from the big box store at the end of season for $5 each. Several years later, they look great! Too bad I sold that house, but I’m sure the new owner enjoys them 
I’ve also ordered heirloom varieties from a vendor in Oregon (a mecca for roses)

That’s really good advice, maybe I’ll wait and load up on perennials at the end of summer. Beautiful flowers btw, hope the new owners kept them alive.

Honestly, the spring when they first put them out is a good time to go to Lowe’s and nurseries too. They’re getting so much in at the time, anything that’s starting to be overgrown or have any leaves dying off they’ll just throw them in the 50% off area. Just depends how many others in your area are looking for the sale plants.

Nice flowers!! I have two Knockout bushes and they grow great. Produce a ton of flowers, but they’re smaller roses. I like the big ones. Haha. I have 25-30 varieties of roses out there currently. I’ll add another 5-10 varieties before I’m done.

Just need to make whipped cream and for the vanilla cake loafs to come out.
Cannoli dip and crushed pistachios to top. You just bust up some waffle cones or use some Biscoff cookies or something to dip in there. Ricotta, mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, mini chocolate chips.
Chocolate cake loafs to top with whipped cream and strawberry sauce.
Strawberry sauce for the vanilla and chocolate cake loafs.

Seems I’m letting these dry with roots and whatnot. Haha. I’ll hang them tomorrow, but I turned the lights and res off days ago now and some are dried out for sure. I just want this stuff out, so I can focus on getting my mothers healthy and lush.

my son makes that cannoli dip for thanksgiving once in a while. it’s pretty badass.

i gotta trim those damn rose bushes out front again. they bloom for like a week, then just crawl all over my and the neighbor’s fence/houses for the rest of the year regardless of how many times i prune them.
