my wife and i did some house flips in south dallas before the market got saturated. one of the properties we picked up was in oak cliff. during the flip, i got to know the next door neighbors. got to talking with the dad one day about music. he said he liked SRV. oh cool.
come to find out one of SRV’s childhood homes was 3 doors down from the house we were flipping. the dad had grown up in that house next door and had many stories about SRV and his brother jamming all day and all night. he could hear them when he went to school (the school was essentially behind the neighborhood 500 meters off from the back yards). apparently no one complained and this carried on for years until SRV got big and moved his parents out of the hood. (oak cliff is not a good area)
i thought that was kinda cool. good stories. made some new friends.

I’m staying in my bed all day today. Haha. Watching this movie right now with Grays Papaya in the background. Now I want two dogs and a papaya juice. Still stoned from edibles yesterday.

I’m trying to figure out what to do with all of this pizza. Haha. I had one slice and was stuffed. I ate three big ass cookies though. Haha. It’s fun every once in awhile. I think I’d be fat these days if I lived in a city, but there’s nothing near me.
Freeze the slices, when you get a craving put some in the oven

I live in a city and I’m both overwhelmed by food options and am getting fat.
But my favourite Cantonese place is ruined because they gave me tripe last time and I hate tripe.
