Yep, they will stretch quite a lot, and pack it on early, if you have an experience like I did. Same with the milky blueberry milk, which is almost the same. I put these to flower early and they still just stretched. They are topped.

You may want to top them, I have never not done so with any of these genetics. Thanks for growing them, I hope you get some good flower, I grew 3 clones of my favorite blueberry milk because I liked the smoke so much. Down to a zip!

Oh, keep in mind the stems might not be the sturdiest

I really hope so, I hate not getting a girl - sending all the good, feminine vibes your way :crossed_fingers:

made some 93u and 73u bubble hash from a mix of some year old cured buds. A mix of Kali Mist, Sour Chem Haze and Puffo Gelato. All nice trimmed cured buds. The hash turned out browner than I like but seems to melt down pretty good and retained a lot of the Kali mist terps. seems to have a sedating high compared to hash made from fresh frozen.

Probably contains CBN from aged buds would be my guess!

This is my new answer to “why do you need so many jars?”. You gotta be prepared.

I’ve changed the way I dry and cure buds so I hope it won’t be a problem going forward. Maybe doing more defoliation would help by increasing airflow. I feel like I already lolli-pop quite a bit, hard to find a balance.

When I’m drying the buds, I know they won’t mold after they are bagged up because of the “feel” of the buds after the “hay” smell evaporates. Also, I’m really selective when it comes to harvesting moldy buds… aka garbage

if I see mold on buds at harvest I’ll toss it. Sometimes with really large colas you don’t see it because it’s deep in there and then when it dries you have to break it open to see it and it’s not showing on any of the other buds, but that’s rare and mold almost never happens with average sized buds or popcorn sized. Once it’s in a jar though all the buds in the jar are contaminated so they got to go too.

In this chapter of adventures in hash making, we mix a hard candy terp bomb, Emberz, with a sandy dank, old paper back smelling GMO.

800 grams of fresh frozen buds 1/2 GMO 1/2 Emberz

did two washes for 30 minutes each using the new 73u and 93u bags Did it outside on the patio because it was cold out and the sunset was pretty good.

Returned 16 grams of 93u and 14 grams of 73u. Pretty happy with that.

The 93 is very terpy, it tastes strongly of hard candy from the Emberz with the dankness of old paperback books on the back end from the GMO. It melts straight into a generous pool of oil in the banger. Emberz was sticky and the GMO was sandy this translates into hash with an interesting feel between the fingers. The high is long lasting and soaring so far.

This is Moonbeams there are a few different varieties around, this one is Sunset Sherb x (apple fritter x strawberry fritter)

I was inspecting it today and the trichomes on all the top buds are done showing all white and amber. The bottom buds are less mature and ready for hash making. So I decided to harvest and cure the tops for smoking and do fresh frozen with the lowers for hash.

The plant has a great ripe fruit hard candy terp that is very strong and translates to smoke.

I found two sets of bananas on lower buds and three seeds on the plant, bonus s1, heh. I won’t be keeping this pheno. I have some more seed so will keep looking. I like the terps node spacing etc but I’m not interested in growing bananas.

The fem seed I have run does seem to give a greater number of slight herms, (usually just one or two bananas) some but not all, I’d guess 40%. That’s a lot heh. I may be running less fems in the future as it’s disappointing to get all the way to the finish line only to grow bananas.

Adding a couple hundred grams to a hash run turns the hash candy and fruit flavored so I’ve got that going for me which is nice (caddy shack reference)

It was an easy plant to grow from seed, it may have got a little blasted by the light and ideally could have used a little less feed as evidenced by the crispy leave tips. I have another pheno that seems to handle food and light a little better and shows no bananas, yet, so I may keep that one to try outside this summer.

I like how you’ve made hash making seem as easy and routine as making coffee. Thinking it’s time to dust off the bubble bags. :sunglasses:

Thanks man. It takes a couple hours usually. Once you have a system and a set of good tools it’s easier. I have a lot of fun trying new variables and minor technique changes. Great hash is worth the effort.

made some hash today

outside in the cold I let five gallons of water sit for most of the day, then added a few handfuls of ice

washed fresh frozen Sour Chem Haze and Moonbeams for 2 washes of 30 minutes with one 93u and one 73u pull returning 93u at about 4.5% and 73u at 1.5% for a total return of roughly 6% and that’s solid

it’s terpy and melts to oil cleanly. The Moonbeams adding a nice candy/fruit terp on top of the more subdued sour chem.

I’m really happy with this result.

Two weeks later we have a Blueberry Milk from @BasementGardens that has finally decided to show female parts and got new shoes today and transferred into a five gallon cali pot for a final month or so of veg. This plant is going to be big. In 16 days it has tripled in size.

Oh yeah, very nice @Mordecai! Yes, they stretch and get pretty big, I hope you get some good smells. My favorite, the Mom of those beans had a strong, early sweet smell, and lanky stems, virtually no trimming to be done. A couple of the others were nice too. Even when I tried to keep her clones small they just stretched into monsters.

So cool you popped them, thank you!!
