Phenohunt Sour Chillz and Sunset MAC - CAPULATOR

Hello guys,

I opened this topic to show the new pheno hunt I’m starting. A friend and I bought these seeds together and I was in charge of doing the search! With this, the space is open for discussion about plants and genetics…

Those called for the game:
SOUR CHILLZ - Capulator (12 Seeds)

  • ( Aj Sour D x Chem 91 ) X ( East Coast Sour d x D-Dnl ) x Chillz;
  • 9 to 11 weeks;
  • Candy, diesel and classic chemicals that are hard to find nowadays.

SUNSET MAC (10 Seeds)

  • Sunset sherbet x Miracle Alien Cookies
  • Freebies of Capulator
  • No much information

4 freebies fem from Att:

  • Blue Cindy (Cinderella 99 x Blueberry) G13 labs;
  • Zombie Death Fuck (GSC x OG kush L.A) Blimburn;
  • Spooky OG (Jew Gold Cut/ Kosher kush) Pure instinto;
  • 710 Mango (Jack Herer x Big Skunk Korean) 710 Genetics.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Sour Chillz, I look for smell and taste focused on the chemical and gasoline, sweet cuts I will to discard (except it’s exceptional);

  • Sunset MAC, since it’s a plant filled with cookies, maybe I don’t find something like that, but without great pretension;

  • 0 pretension in the feminized, what you see will be a surprise.

All seeds in 1% hydrogen peroxide solution

All in the substrate (3:1 Carolina soil + perlite), I washed the substrate with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution

Hello guys,

9 days after placing the seeds on the substrate, we have the following rate:

8/12 Sour Chillz
9/10 Sunset MAC
FEMs: they all showed up, but the only one who survived was Spooky OG.

I removed the cups that didn’t germinate and so:
09 Sour Chillz;
10 Sunset MAC;
Spooky OG;
Blue Cindy (I’m insisting with this seed, I don’t know if it’s survive).

I have one question to you:
Here, I list my plants before they are born. I list the cups and so I put the seeds. Those that do not germinate have their identification erased. I list my plants with numbers, for example: SC01, SC02…

  • When you list your plants? And how?

I list the same, abbreviation for strain with number. Mark any clones the same…

SC01-1
SC01-2

etc…

I think you should reverse the nicest Sour Chillz female and use the pollen to make S1s of the SC and also pollinate the nicest female of all the other strains. The Sour Chillz crossed to the Sunset Mac would be right up my alley.

Hello @GCBudz, I’m happy with your contribution!! I don’t put the number in the clone generation. This is a good idea, I’ll join!

Hello @LoveDaAutos, thanks for you comment!

My idea is make F2 of Sour Chillz and Sunset MAC. I want to put my better male (SC and SMac) and to cross with others females that I have. In the future I will open this seeds.

I never reversed my plants, this could be an idea. I will think about this.

I dont number seeds until they are about a week above soil. I label them all just as the strain until they have popped. Higher vigor = lower number (#1 being the fastest). For some reason it seems to help me make fewer mistakes if there arent missing numbers when seeds dont come up, or runts i end up not flowering. Used to do your method, but made too many mistakes, because I’m not the most organized feller

I like your approach, that makes a lot of sense… :+1:

Hello man, I loved your approach I’m not organized either. This can be a way to next times. Thanks you for contribution!!

One week passed after the last update.

The Sour Chillz are showing more vigor than the Sunset… only three SC are delayed. There are two SMAC very late, slow development. Probably when I’m going to transplant, they won’t be ready. The fems are the slowest.

Some leaves are showing a spot with a lighter color than normal. What can it be?

It’s been 21 days since the day that I removed the cups that didn’t germinate. Some plants are asking for transplant with a good amount of roots, but I will transplante when the mycorrhizae arrive.

I will transplant them into 2L pots and wait for them to grow until it’s possible to cut the first wave of clones. These clones will be for sexing.

Hello to all!

I’m new to the site and just starting to grow now, but have a limited budget for my greenhouse (thinking of building it myself). Does anyone have any advice?
I appreciate any tips.

Hello @PostHP welcome to OG!! You will have fun in this forum!

I live in Brazil and when I started I used construction pipe, here it’s known as PVC pipe. And now I use metalon that are metal tube, they are more resistant to leds that I have. I think PVC pipes and their connections can be a low cost alternative for your greenhouse…

Hello guys,

Yesterday (11-21-24) I transplanted all plants to 2-2.5L pots. I dived the roots of the seedlings with a mycorrhizae solution (1g/L) and I rooted the pots with the same solution.

And now I will see them grow up until I can clone them

A week after the transplant, the plants are well and have roots at the bottom of the pot.

And the substrate of the next transplant and flowering is already being cooked

Hello guys,

Today they complete two weeks after transplantation. The plants that were healthy, are no longer. I’m thinking about the possibilities that made this happen.

Contextualizing: the Vega grow where these plants are is inside a room that is the room that makes the flora that occupies 50% of the room, that is, the parameters are ideal for flowering. This week I made an update and put another 480w qbar in this space.

Talking about the problem of plants again. A few days ago I changed the leds, before they were home lamps (40w each, totaling 160w of low quality), now I upgraded to a 400w quantum board. This increase in light intensity led to an increase in temperature. That is, at first I thought that the temperature and the air exchange could have affected the plants. With that, I put some plants on the billboard and I’m waiting for their reaction.

In conversation with a friend, he believes it may be a lack of food for the plants. My soil is organically based, it was properly rested, however, in a week in these pots, most of the plants had already taken the root pot, so I do not rule out this hypothesis. Given my analysis, I think the pH may be unregulated, my watering is with water from the air conditioning and sometimes from the tap, which is not of good quality. My plants that are in the flora are also not healthy, so I believe that my water may be creating this pH problem.
I’m tempted to make a little coverage with NPK + micro base nutrients. What do you suggest?

Photo of the root. Apparently they have their healthy roots

Hello guys,

The plants improved after going to outdoor and receiving a cover with mix base nutrients. I’m complementing the light on outdoor with some home LEDs.

This photo is from two days ago.

Today I cloned all the plants of this hunt.

Without changing the photoperiod, two Sunset MAC’s proved to be male. That’s why your clones are in cups.

This Sour Chillz caught my attention for having developed its side branches better than others. The ones that caught my attention the most for now were #06, #07, #11 and #12. In general, all SC have similar leafs.

Different of SC, the Sunset MAC has a greater variation. These plants have at least three different leaf shapes.

Red: Sour Chillz
Yellow: Spooky OG
Purple: Blue Cindy
Blue: Sunset MAC

Follow the plan
