and just down the road we could use some rain we have not had a gully washer yet this year those micro burst thunder storms we usually get
HOW?!?! ![]()
Our city is so weird with micro climates tbh. You’re only a few KM from me but are directly next to one of the major north/south ravine arteries which I know from my commutes funnel the weather down to the lake.
Sounds like that ravine is stealing your thunder!
Me being a few KM off the bluffs and at a higher elevation has me in a litteral cloud so much of the time.

LIKE THIS MORNING!
mostly sunny here this morn see some clouds to the west but sunny and warm already just misted yesterday all day but no real amount
We saw something like that a couple days ago, everything was clear up to the hubs of the wind turbines but the blades disappeared into the fog/cloud above.
Cheers
G
I checked the rain meter. 4cm overnight.
The barrels are all over flowing as is the tank; this isn’t a complaint because now they all have been flushed of the pollen and it’s no longer a slightly yellow tint ![]()
It ends north around Newmarket. During major snow storms the bulk of it starts there if I’m heading north.
That’s not a cloud, that’s smoke from your reefer, ![]()
Yeah the rain has definitely been crazy here as well. I’m keeping my plants inside until the rain dies down a bit. Seems a bit more chilly than usual around this time here as well.
Yeah… much like the forest fire year of smoke the lack of sun has made my plants start to think about flowering.

Celia is a difficult outside dog where she eats everything and doesn’t settle down when we are working so she has her “tv spot” where we and outside are her show.
She did get to see this dance off though!

Mrs P and I are off to Fergus, Ontario for a Fibre festival! She’s as excited as I ever see her and I hope she doesn’t pee in the car.

A buddy just came by to grab some plants I had for him including a tray of about 40x seedlings from my compost heap ![]()
He’s trying to get a plant he has more THC and doesn’t care about knowing the genetics just seeing better numbers so he’s gonna use his males and find all the females in here and see what sticks ![]()
It’s 4 years worth of chucks and hash refuse in that compost heap so there’s
in this tray for sure.
Beautiful day today hitting 22c with a breeze keeping you cool. I was very happy our water tank cover came in so I can hopefully stop any algae blooms!
A gift from @MissinBissin is this Bai Tagia from @Landrace_seeds ! From Russia with love so it’s in a 7 gallon pot transplanted on top of a pile of compost and then was topped with promix BX
In with the other girls:
My buddy who came by immediately started asking about it out of all the plants in the yard

@THCeed thanks again for these squash. I’m gonna mound them here and train them up the gazebo ![]()
It was finally dry enough to address the compost heap! There’s a huge pile of rotting veg on my driveway I need to get in here so I emptied the thing; fixed it, and then…
Made a rotting lasagne!
All the weeding of the property filled the heap again about 1/2 full. It’s 5 layers of veg with compost in between.
Now I water it, and in a week will turn it once I see it compacts a little.

It’s officially warm again and I need to water everything soon so the sun doesn’t cook the little ones.
Sadly it’s gonna get gross soon because of a chunk of the country currently being on fire and trade winds…
Another smokey spring… fuck.
I needed to trim a bunch of tree related things before they become even larger problems lol.
Only thing worth sharing today is the dutch crookneck butternut squash from @THCeed are now in the ground under a lot of compost ![]()

I’m not a calm person but working or being around plants has always been one of the few ways my nervous system actually calms the fuck down.
So my efforts are a combo of both mental and physical therapy as I overdo things this year as I’m blessed to have this time to work on myself for the first time in 20+ years!
Thank all y’all for joining in on this adventure of mine. I promise all y’all will be very entertained!
