Possible triploid?

hey everyone, is this a triploid? if not any ideas? i made the cross from bohdi’S whitelight hp x a plant i found in chaing mai.

I’m not sure that you can tell if it’s a triploid just by looking at it. It looks like some sort of mutation though.

Interesting, to me it looks like maybe the two cotyledons are conjoined.

Or it looks like it’s missing the other half of its bilateral symmetry. Just one extra large cotyledon, and one true leaf.

mutations are not always functional- it may stall out and die because of the mutated apical grow. Or it may pull out of this stage and grow normally.

Yup, that’s a weird one alright, looks like the conjoined cotyledon got even bigger. Never seen that before.

it’s looking to me like it probably won’t make it. the first true leaf hasn’t grown, but it’s making an extra long petiole stem for it, and still no sign of normal apical growth or a second set of true leaves.

I’ve seen perfectly circular mutant leaves like that one before, but never at this crucial early seedling stage. I call it a ‘radial symmetry mutation’ of the leaf vein. instead of a normal straight leaf vein with bilateral symmetry, the vein is not fully formed, and the structure of the leaf swirls radially outwards from the center point.

I’ve only seen that on sativa heirlooms in very late flowering, or when plants reveg and start popping weird single blade leaves, sometimes a few are mutant circular leaves like that one.

Ive had something similar.The longer you ride this out and by some fate of the Gods no bugs or critters get at it eventually it will start throwing out more normal growth.Eventually you will see a regular leaf then a leaflet then branching as it rewrites its fuck up and puts itself back together like Betelgeuse’s Wife

I’d let it ride. I had a similar mutation and let it grow and now I have this

Definitely has some re-veg looking leaves. Maybe the seed shell had “light leaks” and caused it to flip lol. It wants to be normal though and looks like it’s heading that way.
