If you practice quarantine procedures, bringing in outside cuts isnt that bad. First thing, get rid of all medium. If you got rooted cuts, recut them. Next give them a good once over with a 60x scope, treating as necessary. At the very least, start an IPM regimen and stick to it. Give them 30 days in a secluded area, then scope them again. Always visit the quarantine last and shower after. Yes it is a PITA, but far easier to toss a few sick cuts than cure a whole garden.
