Why I’m Doing This
I like to grab old organic Cali outdoor for a really good ticket. Not mids, just older batches people sleep on. Most folks flip or sit on it… I press it.
I found out that if you run it right, you can turn something everybody overlooks into solventless carts that hit harder than most “dispensary” stuff.
For real, it’s night & day compared to the tree it came from.
This thread is me logging the whole process so others can learn it, tweak it, and never be dry again.
Solventless, no weird cut agents. Just rosin + good hardware.
⸻
My Hack / The Flow
Step 1 – Bag & Press
• I load the flower into micron bags. I like to pack a bunch in (more than advertised) – Evolv on Amazon has the bags I use (100 pack for ~$50).
• Run it in the press at 180°F and don’t stop until every last drop of rosin comes out. Even if it takes 4 minutes. Honestly, I don’t even time it – I press, walk off, come back, and keep pressing harder until no more rosin pours out.
• You might get some blowouts if you’re running a Nugsmasher OG like I have and press that hard, but I haven’t seen it hurt quality – rosin is still free of most plant material.
• I use 120 micron bags for old outdoor because they’re thicker = less chance of blowout.
• As you get good at it, you’ll blow out less… or if you upgrade (my dream is the Nugsmasher IQ), you’ll get even cleaner runs.
• Budget? You can score a Nugsmasher OG for $300–$400 on eBay and it’s worth every penny.
(Analogy: There are 2 groups of students. One takes their time making everything perfect. The other does many faster. The group that did many faster gained more experience and actually won. Moral? Don’t overthink, just get pressing. Experience is the biggest asset — it will reward you with never being dry again.)
⸻
Step 2 – Freeze Collection
• All the parchments with rosin go into a gallon freezer bag, strain labeled.
• Once frozen I collect it while it’s still in the freezer to make sure it’s collectable, basically acting like a cold room, I scrape/collect with a cold tool into a glass measuring cup with a glass lid.
⸻
Step 3 – Oven Decarb
• Cup goes into the oven at 240°F.
• Leave until it stops bubbling — usually 1 hr to 1.5 hrs.
• This step makes or breaks it: activates it and stabilizes the oil so it flows right in carts.
⸻
Step 4 – Cool Down
• Let it cool naturally with the lid on to ~160°F.
• Use a cheap cooking temp gun to check.
• Don’t rush this step.
⸻
Step 5 – Fill Up
• Load into my FiftyShot semi-auto filler gun.
• Fill half-gram iKrusher Calibr Pro ceramic tip carts (I tested 9 other samples — these are #1).
• Cap while warm, stand upright (the 100-pack comes in foam trays that hold them perfect for filling).
• Let them settle.
⸻
Why Calibr Pro?
• Built for thick extracts — no cutting, no thinning.
• iKrusher has a whole R&D team working just on hardware.
• No clogging. Smooth pulls. No burnt hits.
• Out of all the samples I tested, these were the only carts that handled pure rosin right.
⸻
Results So Far
• One “low” = ~50 carts.
• I’ve never been dry since. Always have clean, solventless carts on deck that get me high asf.
• Feels good to say that and actually mean it.
⸻
Why I’m Sharing
I could’ve gatekept this, but nah. This is the way.
The more people making clean solventless carts, the less anyone has to rely on weak, cut, or overpriced options. As I get better I renovate & upgrade. But this is the blueprints for anyone to start. Even starting this way, the vapes that come out are superior to the stuff that usually goes around.
I want this thread to help anyone in the same position I was in.
Even inspire new hustles — not about spending too much, but about making the most of what you got.

The Bigger Picture ![]()
I know the rosin game is competitive, no question. But let’s be real: there’s already crazy competitive pricing out there on carts in general — especially on the black market.
The problem is, most of those carts are garbage. They’re cut with mystery agents, full of heavy metals, even killing people. And people still buy them because they’re cheap.
Here’s where it clicks for me:
• If you grab organic Cali outdoor at the right ticket and run it solventless, you can make a cart that’s the same price as those black-market death pens.
• But instead of poison, it’s pure rosin. No cuts. No gimmicks. Just fire.
That means:
• You’re putting in minimal resources but getting maximum smoke.
• You’ll never be dry again.
• You’re smoking as cheap as possible, as comfortable as possible, at the best quality possible.
That balance — cheap, safe, and fire — is what the scene actually needs. Not another dirty shortcut. Not another overpriced “boutique” cart. Just a blueprint for staying lit without selling out your lungs or your wallet.
Notes & Safety
• Label everything. Future-you will thank you.
• Don’t skip the oven step. Under-decarbed rosin = bubbling, clogs, harsh taste.
• No cut agents ever. Decarbed rosin only.

I’ll drop pics of my next press → oven cure → cart fill here with notes.
Ask questions, share your own rosin cart attempts, and let’s build a clean solventless cart log for everyone.
