Propagation lights

Hi guys

I’m new to taking cuttings, I’ve had a high success rate and healthy cuttings some times and yellow and soggy cuttings the next
My cuttings keep turning yellow on the leafs and taking a while to come through below is my process and a few early pictures of my set up
Would you say the lights are close to the incubators?

Clonex gel and spray once taken
Left on 18/6
LED lights
Wipe out the lids 2x a day
Room temp 21 degrees
Any help would be appreciated

Depends on how powerful those lights are. For cuttings a cfl or t5 type light is more than enough, specially at that distance. Your LEDs dont look too powerful but pictures are tricky to gauge that.

Cuttings is a situation where less power is better.

Also, 70f (21c) might be a tad tad low, but youre still within the reasonable temp.

Load up your mums with p and k one week befor taking cuts

P and k defs are what usually show first in leafs as these are stored less in leafs compared to n

The lower n then in cuts will make them root faster , p is for roots and k general plant health

Regarding the lights , if you can’t dim them , then set one propagater on the floor beside the rack as experiment and see if they root faster there as less light

I agree 21 c is abit low if that’s what inside prop temp is at

Contrary to those before me i think 21 c is a bit warm, personally i don’t like my cuttings to be warmer than 18-20 degrees c. Dimming the led could certainly contribute to lesser yellowing out.

Hi sorry if I’m not understanding, what is p&k def?
The feed I give my mother plants is Cana A&B (advised to do this)
Is there a better feeding for them? How can I give them the p&k

Phosphorus ( p ) and potassium ( k ) defishancy is the yellowing out you sometimes see

Nitrogen ( n )

Your mums in coco ?

I recently sprung for LED propagation lights. I went with the array1, under a hundred each. Dimmable and remote driver if ya like.
