Proper curing method

I believe in low and slow like my BBQ…my flowers enter jars with slight above average moisture level and over weeks/months of curing they mellow. The key is how do you like your final product? Personally since I roll Js and smoke pipes, it’s helpful to have a little more drier buds. Not crispy but just enough to hit the grinder and come out the other side ready to roll. Of course each strain requires particular customization but that’s cannabis in general

I have read about this, makes alot of sense. Its a potential game changer for large-scale operations.

However, i have to say, your title is slightly off, as that article leads to a giant tease at the end

“… but we still need to complete another equally important step. Curing. Bringing your dried flower to life.in the next issue of: The DEEP END

Do you have the link for that? Because im curious to see where they go next…but a 5 day dry with almost perfect terpene potential still intact? Thats crazy cool, and very achievable following their method

I kinda do something like this.

Basically I vent heavily until it hits 60 and then I shut the vents.

You still keep on venting, even after that.

I have a leak in my gasket.

I just hang then under the roof of a shed for about 1 to 1.5 weeks until it’s down to 60%

Then I cover in plastics with slight vacuum for at least 4 weeks:

It’s just now 65 due to I could not hold back my nose :innocent:

I agree ever strain is slightly different due to bud size, density, resin, etc…

The biggest problem when it comes to curing is making sure you harvested on the correct day. It can mean the difference in your bud taking 2wks to cure, or taking 6wks or longer to cure. There is a mathematical explanation that can help anyone figure out the correct harvest date for the particular cross being cured. It is based on repeatable science that takes the guess work out of the harvest/ cure

Where is this scientific evidence you speak of?

I have a Michael Jackson OG crossed with a Hollywood49 when should I harvest it?

Unfortunately I’m not allowed to speak of it here due to bureaucratic issues. Sorry.

That would be 3 days after a new moon. On a rising Barometer.

I couldn’t tell the last time that I looked at a trichrome. In fact, I don’t even own a loupe.

What do you do when your trichs say harvest, and your plant is saying that it needs 3 more weeks of grow time.

nice misdirection…now tell us the secrets!

I’m going to :exploding_head: everyone’s head with this
Plant is done when I say it is!

Timing issues are the most numerous offense when I look at plants. It begins with the breeder. Then carries through to the unsuspecting grower.

you can do 1 of 2 things. The first and most obvious is pick a better breeder.
And secondly do the corrective breeding yourself.
