Puffetta by Gecko Seeds

Hi guys!
After years I decided to go online again with a grow report!
Couldn’t find a lot about the genetics online so that’s why i decided to give it a try again so people could find out more about gecko seeds and the genetics they have

Genetics :
Puffetta by Gecko Seeds
Medium : Plagron Lightmix
Nutrients :
Last containers of Ferro nutrients, when those are empty it will be all Plagron…
Ferro Grow A+B | Ferro Bloom A+B
Plagron Enzymes | PK 13/14

38 x 18L containers
Will be watering by hand

Growroom setup :
2x 735w Platinum Led
2x 720w Lumii Black Led
1x 2500m³ Softbox and Filter(still looking for a stronger softbox and it will be installed after this grow).

Will be posting some better pics later this week, skipped pictures of germination because nobody wants to see that haha!

I’m currently in week 4 of veg, plants have been repotted on saturday and already liking their new containers.
Still not sure if i should have topped them when i transplanted them or do it asap…
Planning on flipping to flowering somewhere in the next few weeks, have to time it a bit so they are ready when the last 3 Puffetta’s in another tent are mature enough and gave me enough clones for the next round :stuck_out_tongue:

Here are some pics for now, feel free to leave a comment or if you have some tips for me…
This will be it for today and will post updates every week!
Thanks for reading the start of this growreport

Switched to 12/12 last week…
Girls have stretched a decent amount :face_with_peeking_eye:
Upcoming days will take out some leaves because they are bushy!!
Also they are very thirsty🥳

Had some problems getting the stretch under control…
Past few days were busy with family dinners etc so really need to get the nets hanging asap and defoliate the girls because now light is not reaching the bottom 30cm of the plants🤣
The breeder told me the girls would stay small and not stretch that much…well they are at least 110cm in height now and i hope the stretch is over now…
The first budgrowth is visible so i’m almost 100% sure it’s over…
Currently the lights are still on 400w, around 40cm above canopy yet still they grew at least 5cm-10cm each day…
Tomorrow i will post some pics of the girls when the sun is shining, we decided to run the lights at night so these pics are taken during the dark cycle of the grow.
What do you guys think of it so far?
Any more info you would want to read?

Looking good… u can always bend some tops if they get too close to the lights!!! Best vibes the rest of this run :v:

They stretched so hard i will need to get some bamboo sticks
Lights are almost at the highest point, and we not even on 600w now…
How high above the canopy could i go on 600w?

little picture update for now
Also i’m starting to see things i don’t really like, looks like some calcium def? or light stress or even both ?
The leds are running on max power the past week but perhaps the leds are to low on the canopy…
Like a 1000w led should be at least 22 inch above the canopy ?
Are we talking about the 1000w leds from aliexpress that actually pull 300w from the outlet or the ones i’m running?
Temps are not to crazy high but it’s cold outside last week

Some close ups from the spots that i’m not happy about

Photo dump :

Maybe add some cal mag from plagron to the nutrient water ?
Currently i add 750ml of plagron bloom and 150ml pk 13/14 per 150L of water and i have to make at least 300L per week because the 36 girls are thirsty  Any suggestions on what more plagron nutrients i could use at the moment ?
I think we just passed the 30 day mark after flipping into flower
Any feedback is much appreciated!

Hi HighBreed.

What i see here are beautiful plants and a very professional setup (love he green light).
I would have supercroped them earlier (during second week of bloom) to try to maintain an even canopy plus plants have an open sativa-like structure but considering you are at day 30 i am not sure about that, i would try it if i were you, just to see how it is going, and learn.

About the leaves, it is on the upper ones, lower or the whole plant ?

I meant i would have supercroped the tall sativa like ones, cause you have some more indica leaning bushy ones.
I see you use soil, you don’t pH water ? Or maybe pH is in the right zone after adding nutes.Or maybe your nutes are organic so you don’t need to pH water, microbes do the job (i don’t know Plagron, except their light mix and Promix).

Yeah some different phenotypes lol, should have topped them :joy:
Will do it next run😂
Yeah water is at ph6.3…
The spots are on all leaves, a bit worse on the lower ones …
Could also be of splashing nutrient water when they were smaller but looks odd to me…
Also some plants are have buds looking like they are pollinated or turning hermie :joy: or maybe it’s just in my head no idea

Green sensation from plagron is their best ‘booster’ for bigger yields but 85euro for 1Liter is just crazy😂

I don’t know what type of problem it is.
So i don’t want to create more problems by telling you wrong theories.

If i were you i would take a pH and EC measurement of a sample before calibration.
Then calibrate both instruments and retake measurements of the same sample.
Then have a conclusion : is my pH or EC could be wrong ?

Photos are taken with LEDs on ?

If it is splashing nutrients you could rinse the mineral salts with a humid sponge for example. Just to be sure.

It could look like thrips scars, but not really, not so shiny / silverish look. You could check the bottom leaves where they like to live, when you look at them they hide in the center nerve of the leave, and you could spot some black spots (poo) under the leaves.

If it is thrips it is pretty easy to get rid off, but you will have work to do.
Go to a garden store and buy a spray of pyrethrum with oil in it, the oil will coat the plant, and the pyrethrum will act on the neural system of insects.
Spray both sides of the leaves and the soil too. 3 days later repeat, then 3 days later again.
Plants will be shocked but they will go on.
I would clean all the grow areas too.
I think it is safe to do that at day 30, but check this information out, i have only done that in veg.

will have a new look tomorrow  yeah the recent pics are with lights on  during dark hours i only take pics or enter the room with a green led light :stuck_out_tongue:
And should i take a sample of the runoff water that comes out of the bottom of the pots or just a sample from the nutrient solution ?
The ph and ec meter are replaced 3 weeks ago after the first ones also kept showing wrong values and didn’t want to calibrate anymore
Will recalibrate both again tomorrow, normally i calibrate at least twice a month…
