Pure Sativa Flag Theory

My theoretical pure sat flag in progress…

Green as sea level and Black on top as altitude meaning, Gold as right arm… :v:

Black (12), Black/Red (14), Red (16), Red/Gold (18), Gold (20), Gold/Green (22), Green (24++) (weeks of flo)

My theory also concerns pure indica creation from latitude and altitude rules , process of transformation like for the pure sativa flowering times classification. I n’ high!

I like the concept. The bi-tones remove the problematic of intermediary phenos.

I love it.

Pure sativa know Africa for much longer time than what is described in Western books of cannabis.

The dispersal is proto-historic and come from the South East thanks to the Austronesian move to Madagascar, i’m the one of this notion and theory since 10 years to educate the community. :v:

@Fuel Madagascar Zamala ^^

About La Réunion Zamal yes OG need a dedicated thread so good luck to you with the plan!
A backcross work with original Zamala of Madagascar would be also interesting according phenotypes i think. Here my next Zam run will be about reproducing the few purple fruity moms i found, Red/Gold kind!

@royal Hey cool thank you!

In fact i work with Madagascar and not with La Réunion, it’s simply cultural and informational.

(Like for my work with Swazi Red :black_heart: :heart: and Lambsbread :yellow_heart: :green_heart:),

Cool thread :slight_smile:

Interesting info and research, I totally agree with the fact it’s been way longer of what we’ve been told that there is cannabis use in Africa, and much more needs to be still discovered.

There is still a lot of mysteries and I find it fascinating !

@royal thanks for sharing that book ! gonna read it

I’m linking the thread about Malagasy Cannabis here if you don’t mind :

Hi Roms, interesting thread :). I’m no expert, but I too believe c. in Africa goes way beyond historical times. In historical record, medicinal cannabis was described 3500 years ago in Egyptian scripts, and Ethiopia and Egypt has a long historical record, so connection there is ancient.

This article is interesting, if limited:

Thanks for this link, will read it tonight… :nerd_face:

Your flag theory got me thinking - some breeders specifically used red stemmed varieties …

snowhigh (from lmn) angola red - male

snowhigh acapulco gold - male

I think this is very interesting theory, I look forward to observing my plants in this perspective. I feel some shows traits sometimes blamed on outcrossing, but which may actually be a morphohological response to altitude, like wider early leaves on what is believed to be pure sativas. Shorter flowering times is another.

I wonder; Do you notice any difference in flavours and smells in different categories?

best vibes,

@royal Ya red stem often rhymes with earlier flowering :wink:

@Bayarealivingsoil Cool thanks for the love! :innocent:

@polarlynx Indeed i think the distinction and separation is the absence of fruitiness in the Black/Red that is more spicy dark and metallic and the full Green which is more soft and herbal minty and floral. Red/Gold start to be spicy fruity and full Gold is the fruity floral range i think.

Black -------- Red -------- Gold ------- Green
metallic ------- spicy ------ fruity -------- herbal
