Been working on this plant for a hot minute now and its just not ambering up like any other plant would…any ideas…generics that dont amber…maybe its just taking its sweet ass time

Yeah it’s clear clear clear, cloudy for like a day, and then the heads just fall off. Seen that on the Purple NL2 from Bodhi. Never got any amber and waiting too long meant no trichomes heads left at all. Was a bit strange by comparison.
Technically cloudy means peak ripeness anyways tho.

Some genetics just never amber. I’ve seen this excessively too much with autoflowering strains. It… bothers me, because usually those same genetics are ones that tend to hermaphrodite if over-grown. This is, in fact, how feminized seeds came to be (first) created.
Yeah totally agree with regards to autos… last few I’ve flowered didn’t want to play ball haha but mostly cloudy so it’s fine
It’s perfectly fine, because in all honesty, we’re not really looking for amber. It just so happens that when we see some amber[1], it means that there are usually no clear left. It’s cloudy that we’re really after.
[1]: In the bracts. Please always ignore leaf trichomes. I like to follow the stigmas down with my scope because my eyes suck.

I believe it’s not so cookie cutter. There are many, many different chemicals, precursors and metabolites that can cause it to turn colors.

Sounds like some shit my mom would pull on me lol she would go as far as wrapping it and putting it under the Christmas tree smh lol she used to throw my plants in the backyard and break my lights all kinds of crazy shit lol (in high school) but now she gets seeds and flower from me lmao but its great we have a killer relationship ps shout out to all the crazy , pot smoking moms out there much love and respect
I had seeds taken before and was discrete about smoking for abit. I finally just stopped being discrete about it not too long after i started smoking and started growing outdoors always growing a few plants. Honestly i’m still oldschool and ph/ecc is the most newest things i look at. I was so used to figuring it out as i learned and stuck to that rather then taking the scientific approach we these days.
I started down the organic ph blah blah but now im a natural farmer and when i first stared i had been growing and making my own seed with this ssh i got from msn and i worked even isolated the cheese pheno , i knew this plant well, well the first season i switched to natural farmer it was a whole different animal the buzz lasted longer its terps got more. Complex it even had black pepper on the back end that it didn’t have before even more fall colors towards the end i was hooked after shit tons of rabbit holes i now know its due to shit tons of enzymes and biological activity allows access to more complex chains increased redox potential all kinds of really cool shit 
Just cut my first couple lil testers annddd woowww…its not “1 hitter quitter” but its stoned to the bones with one bong rip with a taste my wife and just cant describe…were gonna get a friend to try it and get his opinion on it
