It’s still pretty damn fun to grow. Smoke appeal is picking up in the jar. She’s going to keep going you got stakes on hand?

Bamboo stakes and yoyos on standby.

Yep doesn’t look like you’re gonna get any seeds, but least you’ll get some nice fat purple buds! And be able to find which are the best ahead of time ^^

Definitely gonna be using all these pics to compare against the Purple NL#2’s I have going now…

I didn’t think these were known for being floppy, hopefully won’t need many stakes/yoyo’s. That’s always a bit of a pain.

In all honesty this is the way i would prefer to do it anyways. There is already a noticeable difference in bud development and trichome coverage with one of the girls over the other 2. Right now, i have cuts of 2 of the females and the single male i had. Not sure which females i have in cut form. I need to check the labels. I will reveg the one i dont have a cut of atleast until i determind the best girl from the bunch. I still have 7 seeds left as well. So, I do plan to make PU f6 seeds in due time. The approach will be different next attempt. I think i will flower a male out along side of the females and just shut my other flower tent down during that period so i dont have to worry about unintended pollination.

I also plan to throw some clones of my keeper moms in the tent next pollination attempt.

Mass pollination and get it done with! My first go at seed making is going to be a bit more labor intensive. 5 plants, 3 different pollen to go on individual branches. They are manifold trained so it’ll be easy to wrap each branch and carefully pollinate one at a time on each plant with a qtip or small brush.

Thank you guys for giving it a shot. Who knows you may come across some surprise seeds hiding in there some where.

Hey, even if you find less than a handful of seeds in that bud, I’d be happy to find a female and grow a unicorn tree in my garden this summer for all y’alls viewing pleasure. Just sayin…

Purple cherry? Damn fine idea sir. It just rang with me.
I’m sure hollypurple would be great as well.

As you can see the Purple Unicorns are fading out already just past 35 days of flower. Im using a feed schedule that jetdro gave me. He used it in the octopots he was running. Which it seemed to work well for him. Not so well in small pots. Its more suited for the octos where the roots have a constant supply of the nutrient solution. 5 inch pots and jetdros feed schedule dont work out so well. Noted. Lol

I found all of the PU F3 crosses I have run to be very very heavy feeders. The MM#31 x PU F3’s barely had a leaf left on them by harvest time . Made for very easy trimming lol

The Skywalker x PU F3 gassed out so early it also made for very easy trimming. The best part is even gassed out early they still grew and produced very well.

Yours look MUCH better than mine at 42 days haha. I grow in recycled soil, 5 gal pots, water only. I find the heavy feeders are just not happy with my style by the end of life. These PU and the Cherry Queens are eating me out of house and home! I ran out of LITFA and tried supplementing with some additives (Mammoth P, Jacks Blossom Booster) and just made everything much worse. Now they’re all spotty in addition to yellowing. I’m not sure these PU will even make it to 12 weeks lol. I’dbe amazed if they can make it to 10. But the buds still look great so I’m holding out hope.

@anon60559124 those buds look beautiful and you’re giving me hope I can still walk away with some decent bud.

Yep that’s what I was gonna say, these pnl2’s I just started are looking to be heavy feeders out the gate too, and NL2 isn’t exactly known for that.

I’m giving dry amendment blends a full run through bloom this next round. Just mix into soil in beginning and then top dressing with it 3-4 weeks later. I did most of my first run with this blend, but ran out before I got to top dressing and switched to a water soluble “natural” mix. plants did great on it though, until bud rot (my rookie mistake). Check it out, has everything that people put into mixes already blended. No cook time required either

I am in 7 gal and water only and I feel your pain with the heavy feeders lol I also tend to suck ass at timing top dresses so the only thing I can do is give an extra shot of the ol blackstrap.
A couple bud shots from the Skywalker x PU F3’s above . They were harvested either day 60 or day 63 from flip.

Not only are the PU F3 crosses the most potent purple weed I have ever smoked but they all have also had really really great medicinal properties , especially for nerve pain.

Very nice, I’ll look into it. I use KiS Nutrient Pack which is dry amendments and then you add EWC and mix it all up. Most of my plants are happy all the way through but not this round. I’m so used to water only that when a plant needs more I usually end up making things worse.

Thanks for the Black Strap tip @anon60559124, that’s one more thing I can try throwing on top LOL! Those buds look so good, screw the leaves I’m cutting them off anyways. I always seem to enjoy the smoke more when the chlorophyll is all gone by the end anyways.
