Question about scissor hash texture/quality?

What’s up OGers :metal:

Alright so I buzzed thru 12oz of trim the other day, and the end result scissor hash was a bit “mushy” almost a bit “grainy” like it didn’t want to stick together into a tight ball? :man_shrugging: --out of curiosity, is this a good sign of a “washing” strain? Like, something that would yield highly as an ice water hash extraction?

Conversely, does the really sticky rolls-into-a-hard-ball scissor hash any indication of potency? :man_shrugging:

It’s something that I’ll be honest I didn’t pay much attention to, until this recent harvest. … Thoughts??

That might be a good @JoeCrowe question.

I’d say it’s just a property of the resin in general where it’s not goo. Whether it producers lots of hash is actually a function of how many capitate trichomes there are on each bract. You can check the bracts with a microscope to see!

“sandy” feeling trichomes tend to play well with water extraction
