Thanks @Dirt_Wizard
As they say….
Trim the best, hash the rest!
Those are gorgeous!
I love that Nepali HP x Puck, fat chunky leaves. Beautiful
Thanks @FieldEffect !
Seems like all of the puck crosses have that dinosaur fat leaf trait. The puck seems to pretty much dominate in that respect.
It’s one of the reasons I like it and want to grow it. It sounds like a tough, heavy indica. Right up my alley as an amateur grower and generally night-time consumer (although maybe my sativa experiments will change that )
Do you have a favorite Puck cross? I almost ordered the Sensi Star cross from Crickets and Cicada. You do quite a few of your own, right?
I am just getting into the puck crosses I received for crickets and cicadas. Not sure which is my favorite as this is my first time running them. Looking forward to seeing which one does the best outside this year. I will try to take them all to f2 this year.
Yes please do, especially the Puck itself, I’ve wanted that one for many many years! I’m stoked to see the 88G13hp outside. I’ve gotta say she’s one of my all time favourites still, just got my hands on some beans and plan to do an adage after my Chemmy Jones increase
Yeah I’m in love with the ‘88 g13 x hp as well. She is not the easiest to pull off outside as she is susceptible to mildew and rot.
You got this homie! I’ve got faith, so worth it in the end though! Old school greasy, dank , gets you high AF for 2-3 hours weed. Man I wish I could fast forward a few months so I could have some in jars/bags (gonna try groves next)
Hell yeah thanks @TopShelfTrees1 !
Nice! So much killer stuff
Freezeland males starting to show. There is a trifoliate mutant that i am thinking about culling not pictured. Loving the looks of the later flowering short squat one, but the taller early flower friesland pheno smells dank and funky!!
I like the bushy short guy. Crazy to be flowering so early. I need to look up that strain, pretty interesting. I’ve seen lots of mention of it but never investigated
Looking great!
Here is the bushman description from seedfinder. I received the seeds from AKBB which is from Bushman stock
Based on the Friesland clone from Quebec, originally from the SSSC. This Cut was hit with a pluton male, then backcrossed the the Friesland cut twice (freeze bx2) which I have been inbreeding/working with ever since. Very easy to get freeze types- expect a great yield of solid buds able to withstand terrible weather/conditions, a true workhorse strain for northern growers, Pink hairs, lots of frost and smells ranging from pine to citrus/fruit, and a fast finishing time truly makes this one of the most popular outdoor strains in Canada.
harvest outside – sept 15th-25th
I think the strain has some semi-auto flowering traits and the one male is definitely exhibiting those. @Radicle_Reefer , do you have any Freezeland females for comparison? Could be interesting to save some pollen from the semi-autoflowering male to play around with for some longer flowering strains.
Yes definitely semi auto in the gene pool. The plan is to use the males to reduce flower times and add mold resistance. I ran the friesland last year from the real seed company. Still have some pollen in the freezer. So it is fun to see the freezeland and how the pluton influences the plants.
Here is a freezeland female in the ground. Reminds me of the friesland with the narrow leaves and overall structure.
Oooh, nice! Will have to look into both the Freezeland and Friesland, I don’t have an issue with a short growing season, just a lot of damp (due to fog) and cooler weather until September and October with a lot of botrytis floating around leading up to it. Mold resistance and botrytis resistance in particular is what I am currently looking for outdoors.
Holy shit, that’s crazy! Hope it doesn’t bombard the ladies too bad! Watch your melon!
Hope it didn’t cause too much damage. We had some a few weeks ago, my sisters garden almost got decimated. Somehow mine came out unscathed, here at my place we got blessed with “less bad” hail.
