Rainbow Belts 3.0 local clones

What’s up OGers! :metal:

OKAY, so, Rainbow Belts clones popped up in my area again, and I swore that I’d get them if that happened.

I noticed they were listed as #3 and not 3.0, does this mean they’re a #3 pheno selection of the original 1.0? :man_shrugging:. --it was confirmed they are the new 3.0 strain :metal:

I was so excited, I didn’t even take pictures of them upon delivery (my Dad went and grabbed them for me) I just took pics after transplant

AND AWAY WE GO! :metal::rainbow::rainbow::rainbow:

*I would absolutely love to do my first try at reversing a plant on one of these. Some feminized RB 3.0 seeds would be righteous :metal: I’m gona flower out at least one of these first before I decide on that.

Hope you do a journal here. Be great to see what 3.0 vs #3 is if different

Already had to top the clones and kept the tops as “fridge cuts” to root later.

RB 3.0 is definitely one of those strains worth locking down.

Really happy with the overall health and vigor of these clones :metal: they’re still doing very well despite less than ideal conditions, humidity in the 2x2 is usually around 40-45% kinda low, and temps lights-on are like 75°ish, still good but it slows growth progress a little bit

maybe it’s super simple, but how does this fridge cuts stuff work?

anything different in procedure?
I use an aero cloner, but it would be nice top and keep for a week or two sometimes before running the cloner.

It’s pretty simple. Take some bigger cuts, you can wrap the ends in moist paper towel if you’d like, put them in a ziploc, seal them up, and toss them in the crisper. Just recut when you take them out to root.

I actually keep my cuts dry, and periodically check the bag for moisture & cleanly wick it out with a clean paper towel

When it comes time to revive them, give the ends a fresh snip & soak in water for 12-24 hours before proceeding with chosen method of cloning.

@PatHealy @RookieBuds

do either you take that last snip above the node, or do you think it matters?

when recieving snips, i’ve been taking a fresh cut above the node. almost 100 pct success so far…across maybe like 20 snips.

For fridge cuts, take cuts longer than they need to be, you gotta give the stem a fresh cut-end when getting ready for the revival process

Oh here we go, I found some old pics illustrating my fridge cut revival process

After giving the stems a fresh snipped end, I soak them in plain tap water

If they aren’t fully perked up by 12 hours, they might not root. I still soak them like this for 12-24 hours.

They’re a bit leggy, but nothing crazy. Still nice & healthy despite the higher than ideal VPD and lower than ideal RH%.

I was running a test on pH vs. non-pH medium when rooting clones, but i knocked over the non-pH one & ruined it :man_shrugging: these are both cups of coco with 6.1 pH water and a splash of cal mag in it, the ruined one was plain tap water @ about 7.6 pH

Even though theyre a bit stretchy, the branches are nice and sturdy & the overall plant has a nice overall V shape to it :+1:

I recently got a pack of Hazeman’s new Rainbow Belts 2.0 F2 line. And I live within a few miles of Archive… But Fletch and team at Archive are pretty non-responsive now days. But some Archive lines like Dosi, Face-Off are quality imho. (which is why October this yr it will be time to take this Toyz F1 (Runtz X Face Off OG) and make an F2 of my own.

I hope your RB v3 S1s turn out excellent. (tipping_hat)

Thanks man! Dude i’d love to maybe trade you any F2s you make of Archive gear for some of my Slurricane F2s made by me :metal:
