Great set up. Some awesome looking ladies coming out of there.
Ahā¦ Is that assembly DIY or a commercial product?
Does your ram spin leaving you to make sure the plates are lined up?
Some Canadian on Instagram was selling them. Was around $300 I believe.
No it drops straight down
The whispier phenotype are reading 64% but I aināt buying it. The stems snap the buds are dry on outside but very sticky. they feel more like 60% but Iāll leave the lids open for a couple hours.
They have been sealed for 3 days.
The chunky phenotype was reading 80% eeek. But that definitely feels too wet. That was only sealed for a half day. Iāll keep an eye out for mold, but I didnāt see any. The one branch I cut down almost two weeks ago is smelling very fruity. Breaking it up it smells like fruity pebbles. Very sticky. Burns superb with white ash. Definitely could have used 10-14 more days. Oh well. Wasnāt worth losing the whole crop
Reading 63% now so I just sealed em back up
Still got this to trim up
Pulled 10oz still off that other plant. 12oz plant, not bad for a 2x2 overgrown scrog under a 315w cmh.
This puts me at 1.2gpw.
Ordered another 10pk and will do better next time
The other 3 are reading 60% now so they are away for two weeks to cure.
Well done sir!!!
Not sure what happened. Was smelling dank on the stem and was smoking great. I jarred them and it read 80% on the hygrometer after a day so I left them out and they felt dry, they never regained that stickiness when I rejarred them. They also never regained that smell. They read 60% now but I feel like maybe my hygrometer is not calibrated. They should be sticky like the first three I trimmed. Those smell good and are sticky.
I donāt get it
Does putting them in jars before they are fully dried affect smell? Cause thatās about the only different between this plant and the other 3 I trimmed a week prior.
First, Iām just now noticing your gear up for sale/trade , whatās up with that? Going totally quantum board?
sometimes the smell will go in and out while curingā¦ might break open a bud while itās in the jar and see if it comes out again.
Just wasnāt using it and havenāt for a while now.
I like my CMH and QB combo. I may pickup some solstrips and FDM seeds from baudelaire.
Though someone is selling a couple SS 315w LECs for $400 for the pair. Those sound tempting. What is the ballast they use do you know? Anything better than the phantoms Iām sure
I feel like I rushed the last 4% and lost the stickiness on the big bud phenotype that I cut last. I also had to dry it quicker due only to cutting the buds down to search for bud rot at harvest.
The fluffier foxtailed phenotype is still sticky but less smellier than it was
I think those ss lec use genuine phillips but not sure, I still have a couple and they seem to be going strong. just had a galaxy ballast take a shit on me a little premature in my mind even though I have little concept of time.
I think youāre def on the right path going with the cmh and qb combo.
Iām not really trusting the ceramic hps much and hung a 600w de beside it to keep up with the 600w qb.
Figured hortilux they would be good. Iām adding another couple sites to have an 8 site. Under an 8x4 area but I always tend to go over my area and have 36w/sq ft for 32 sq. Ft. With (2) 315w CMH and the 520 QB I have. Was thinking of picking up a couple solstrips and filling out my footprint
Not sure, I wouldnāt call it a total loss with the ceramic hps, Iāll give it a go on itās own in a 4by4 and decide.
Just doesnāt seem intense enough .
Iām running like 55 watts per sq ft at the moment, soon Iāll switch out the 4000k de mh for a 10000k mh finisher.
It got cool real quick here and I donāt mind a bit, running 2kw without cooling works for me.
Man I wish I had your power. Iām limited to 40A at 110v. So like 32A (3500w). My chiller and AC are 16A so Iām limited to 1750w roughly for lights.
I have (2) 4k QB304 (260w) for a clone/mom light. And that leaves me with my (2) 315w CMH my (4) 2.7k QB304 for flower and 350w left over for small veg.
Iām thinking another CMH is in store especially since I already have 4200k spectrum bulbs for them. I wanna try out their 3100k or whatever their flower spectrum is.
I do have a shared 15A that I donāt use for anything else that I have my fans, air pumps, dehumidifier, humidifier on that could probably hold additional wattage. My house is only 100A service though so unless I went 220v Iām SOL adding more.
I will take a break when I redo the basement and upgrade electrics and have a VRF system put in with a unit or two in the basement. Probably in a year or two.
I took care of the electric right after the first grow. The wiring and the board are kind of overkill for my area but first grow I was working with extension cords, portable ac was a hazard.
