I was wondering, where to find to real Super Silver Haze like in the old days? I prefer regulars. I know oldschoolgenetics sells S1? Does anyone had experience with it?
Relic seeds had limited SSH '98 Bx, but sold out quick.
I would highly recommend ole 97 from high and lonesome. It is an f5 from greenhouse seeds stock from 1997.
It’s a 30 pack of seeds (45 in my pack) divided into two vials, one from the sweet skunk leaning mothers and the other from the terpenoline dominant mothers.
Im finishing up hunting a full pack and have many stand out phenos. Highly recommend.
I’d love to know myself . I had a cut that was from a pack of the original seeds bought when an old friend attended the Cannabis Cup .
The cut I had stretched 2-3 time it’s height when put into flower . It was very Haze dominant . To this day my nephew , a true conissuer , says it’s the best weed he ever smoked . I’d love to find that pheno again .
My SSH project is going quite well. Ive unlocked some really interesting genetics. I popped 36 seeds and selected 2 plants for F2 seeds.
Plant #1 looks like a pure sativa. Slow growing, low fertilizing, with a wonderful cedar resin terp profile. I haven’t sampled it yet, but I anticipate it will be some giggly uplifting smoke. Im planning to hit this plant with some Jalisco pollen.
Second plant is a vigorous monster. SSH dominant. It has big fox tail buds. Also a strong cedar resin terp profile. This plant in particular has a crazy stretch. Its a heavy yielder, for sure. I let this plant get dusted by Durban Poison. It was impulsive. I will probably test some of the seeds at some point.
Interestingly enough, this project started because I came across a sativa dominant purple plant, most likely from the MTF gene pool. Im working a new line for my Valley Ice strain. It will be sativa dominant, with SSH, Jalisco, and Bokeo. It should help balance out the effects of the Valley Ice (MTF x SFV OG). Valley Ice is on F4 and ive worked it to a sativa ruderalis dominant strain. The MTF had a lot of interesting genetics that unlocked in the F2 generation.
@ig0r I generally like to premeditate such things. Im not prone to random pollen chucking. I like to work fresh hybrids to at least F3 before I cross it with another strain. Poly hybrids are fun to make but messy to grow. They are super inconsistent.
You are welcome to test some of the seeds. I can harvest a dozen of those seeds in about 2-3 weeks.
F1 (F1 Valley Ice x SSH_ Mr.Nice) X Durban Poison_ Dutch Passion
There is a bit of a mix up. Im making F2 seeds of the VI x SSH. I dont know what gen the SSH is on, but I did a seed run and produced a few hundred SSH beans earlier in spring.
You should definitely grab a pack if you’re looking for a good ssh. I’m seriously considering another pack to stash away.
One of the plants I checked today smelled strait up like a cat box. Soooo much cat piss lol
