Dang man. Hoping they are salvageable. That’s a lot of work in the bucket. But hey. Thems the breaks.

Can’t say the NL2 doesn’t sound exciting, and I’ve got some interesting blueberry crosses from @seeds_that_feed. Might be worth checking out.

Good luck man!

Thanks you two. I didnt manage to get 10 gallons from my RO before lights out, so I will swap the water in all 4 tomorrow. I hope I can salvage a couple of these girls, but we will see.

I’ve tried tap water with Jack’s and had to switch back.
Others use it and seem to do fine. Ours is soft water with a ph of 8. I know Jack’s makes a tap water product but I have so much of this one

I got the tap version and use 8.5 ph tap water and the orange stuff for ph down. Its a pain. I want to switch. It seems like my plants are rarely perfectly happy. Also, the tap version is a 2 part instead of 3, so I can’t control nitrogen separately. Once I get the extra funds I’m getting a RO setup, and the standard 321 jacks.

I buy RO for $1 for 5 gallons. It’s a pain getting it but worth it for me in the end. I’m also considering an RO system. I use about 30 gallons a week depending on what stage the plants are in

I should have specified, I use well water.
It doesn’t sound like RO is super expensive to set up. I’ve read so many times people saying they were happy with the switch. Like TONS of people. I’m very much ready to give it a try. Plus then if I have problems, there are less variables to figure out. Like I have a pretty low ppm out of the tap, but never got it tested for how much calcium is in it or anything.

Mine is like 550 ppm out of the tap and I’m pretty sure the city has switched to chloramine. A lot of cities are switching

The RO system I got from Amazon seems to work really well, and it was really easy to install. I do wish it had a bigger tank, but it works.

Thanks for the link

The tap water here is horrible. Deep down I knew it wasn’t the best decision, but I was hoping to be able to fill 10 gallons for refeeding, faster than I can get that amount from my RO system.

I still want to try Jacks again, I’m just salty with my own decisions atm.

I’ve seen some using this. Dont know if I want to risk a grow trying it.

That’s kinda cool, but yeah, I’m gonna play it safe and wait for the slow pour from the RO system, at least for a while.

So I switched back to GH. 1 plant I’m sure is dead, another I’m almost sure. The other 2, we will see. The bud shots are from the best looking plant.

Hey other Barry! I just stumbled over your thread like it was meant to be. I was browsing those seeds the other day and almost ordered. I had all the red ones in the basket and some s.a.d. Internet didn’t work outside so the order was aborted, forgot to do it again when I arrived home lol

That’s a major bummer with those beautiful plants and so close to finish :unamused: see what the rest will give you in the end. I will watch closely.

Thanks for your condolences :sob:

Reading back, I don’t think I’ve mentioned this here yet, but I found that all the valves on my air pump manifold were closed. I don’t know how long they were like that at all. It doesn’t really make sense to me. Either way, I have them back on GH and the air valves are all open. I haven’t chopped anything yet.

On the one that just ‘up and died’…take a peek at her roots…
We had problems with the holes in the hydro cups being too small and eventually cutting-into and choking-off all the main roots… we started opening them up to be bigger when we used them… may not have been anything you did…

Interesting, I will. I think I used these net pots before, but only once. I switched to them because they had a better lip on the top, compared to the ones I used to use. Thanks

That was a concern of mine back when I was doing DWC. To counter the possibility I made my “net pots” out of a 4" starter pot, something my wife bought from Lowe’s came in it. Blow torch and a metal rod made quick work of it.

No cross supports made it flimsy enough that she just pushed through.
