I love creative solutions like this. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I had used scissors to remove some of the dividers between the gaps, to make a little room for the water line, but next time I may open more of them up just to help with this as well.
Tropicanna Poison and the tall RHC are done. Chopped and chucked. The buds that were there, were pretty larfy and crispy, and I didnt want to deal with that.
The 2 remaining RHC look jacked up. Lots of battle scars on their leaves, but from what I can tell, they are not getting worse, so thats good.
One of the plants has a few dead branches, which I will chop off later.
BIG side note: If anyone runs Jacks in Hydro, or knows someone who does, that would not mind me picking their brain from time to time, please let me know.
I want to start the Ogreberry run this week, and preferably I use Jacks, and get that running well. If I can do that, once these RHC finish up I would like to do 2 reg NL2 and 2 reg Blueberry Blast in this tent, using jacks, to see if I can pollen chuck some Blueberry NL2 beans.
if no one is able to help you out with that - theres the GreenGenesGarden Channel - hes prob the biggest Jacks proponent out there (in hydro) and goes thru lengths to explain his ratios and methods.
if you already know him (which is likely) then disregard
I had assumed my ph meter was good, because I got consistent readings when I mixed the same nute mix. Turns out, that same mix that read 5.8 on my old pen, read 3.8 with my new meter. I’m assuming this played a large hand in me killing 2 plants.
I haven’t noticed many seeds in the 2 remaining plants. I’m going to keep them going until the trics look good. If I don’t get any (or many) seeds, I’ll run this back after my NL and Blueberry run.
Thanks, and yeah, for sure. Stinks that I had to learn on this run, but it is, what it is. I plan to check the trics out today, see how close they look. Yesterday was the start of week 8.
I have enough trouble falling asleep at my desk as it is, I don’t need more amber than that. Going to try something different and have them sit in the dark for about 48 hours, before chop. My cat will not be happy about this.
Hey Barry, they came out pretty good though how’s the smell? I left mine in the dark for 2 days too this time, mainly because I was at the shooting clubs yearly festival lol it seems there was a little more brown hairs but could be imagined. They were over 80 days an didn’t seem to care to finish… Girls
Right now they mostly smell like chlorophyll, but if I touch the buds I still get the fruity smell I was getting while they grew. If I had to guess, I would say mango-ish. I cant wait for the buds to be cured a bit.
So yours just stayed clear for a long time? I’ve had that happen on other runs, and this run still had more clear than I liked, but when I saw the amber start to appear, I had to chop.
I plan to run this seed run back again, because I was not seeing any seeded bud, but I will know for sure once I start breaking some up.
New pistils didn’t stop to pop up, they just kept going lol the resin I didn’t fotographed I tried to but was not able with the phone. It was mostly milky with like 30% clear ones. No amber that I have noticed. Nr. 4 I think has a very nice light pinky shade, very very light. If its still present after curing I try to picture that.
The strain I grew is supposed to bring a very clear up high with almost no body/ stone. See how that turns out
