You mean that’s a benefit of fem breeding. Fem breeding isn’t “better.” There are pros and cons.

S1 of a clone does not give you a bunch of seeds that are equivalent to the mother. Similarly, smashing together two known females doesn’t guarantee a certain outcome. There are plenty of unknowns lurking in the recessive genes even in “known” plants.
That’s not to say one shouldn’t S1 a nice plant. But there’s not really a right or wrong preference to seeds.

I’m not talking about stabilization, I’m talking about chances.
I won’t forget the day I bought 3 pounds of the strongest hydro I ever smoked, shit was unreal but it was laced with seeds, probably 50% of the bud was seeded, it was a clone run so some of them herm on him
Anyway I gave him the bud back but I kept like 300 seeds, I grew 2 of them, both fem, both were even more insane !
So logic follows logic, when you have a limited gene pool with traits you find appealing, logic dictates subsequent generations will have those traits aswell.

It’s basic logic when breeding plants to smoke, you can achieve the same results with males, but why bother ?
At the end of it, you don’t smoke males.
No reason to have their pollen on a successful fem unless your killer clone is only good smoking wise and not growth wise and you want to improve that.
Let’s put it this way, let’s say I have a beautiful keeper clone i want to make seeds from, of course I want to hit as close to the original clone as possible as I’m going to smoke it, what would you advise the shortest/fastest way to achieve that ?
Is that through pairing her with a male ?
Or selfing it ?
Or maybe cross it to another fem with some other traits you desire in your already good product ?
Now let’s take a look at the market and what known breeders are doing, not us
Crane City, fems, 250$+ and old rare packs go for 500$+
CSI TK S1 200$, Irene S1 300$,
Seed Junky, 250$, 500, I’ve seen 750 aswell and going up up up
Now… What’s so special about those reg seeds and make them so much better ? They obviously sell for less… Hmm maybe cuz we are after the fem ?
Don’t get me wrong, you can do decent work with a male and get somewhat similar results if you try really hard (no matter what you do you still altered 50% of the gene pool)
But why bother again ?
I’m a grower/smoker, I see no reason to introduce a male to my future elite clone stable.
If I want seeds, I just self them, if I want variety I just cross them, easy, all fem, all fire (supposedly )

F1 hybrids are by definition 25% like each parent, and 50% a combo. Its very very doable to breed a line towards 1 parent. Ive done it myself.
Im not anti-fem in any way. But fems are a dead end. You can get an F1 fem hybrid, but how far can you really preserve it in seed? 2 generations maybe? Dont see a lot of S2-3 seeds for sale for a reason lol. Keeping moms is great, but its just not feesible to expect everyone to always have moms going. They take space, time, and money. Vs working a seed line a couple generations with simple male/female breeding. Then if you lose your collection, you can just pop a few more and find another mom.
The only reason Im so intent on it, is Ive lost a huge collection of clones. Not even from neglect or poor care. It was about getting raided to hell. Luckily I did some quick n dirty preservations and saved some stuff.

100% regs 100% of the time over here.
We’re not cash cropping. The majority of what we keep is among friends and family. We’ll take the occasional negative trait as a compromise to maintain a bank of diversity. It comes in quite handy and, sometimes, with qualities of outcome where it’s least expected.
This year out of a small population of plants we have one runt, one that dudded, and one with a suspected genetic deformity that’s locking out nutrients. This is where the fun begins … and yes, all of the bastards are invited!

People don’t sell S2 and S3 because they don’t wanna do the work, if their S1 is selling for a 300$ mark, no need to work hard.
Btw I know home breeders that go for S2 and S3 because they do want a stabilized fem.
You are not saying anything about what’s different between stabilizing a smoking fem with itself or with a male and why one way or the other is any better, you just say it’s a dead end ?
2 generations ? What’s holding me from making 5 or 6 or 7 generations selecting each time for better and better gene pool and getting to a solid base from my seed work…
I dunno, not one logical or even scientific explanation to why we need males in our times when reversing or selfing is kinda straight forward and only requires some experimenting.
Breeding with regs is easier, too. There’s not a guarantee a certain female can be reversed, but the natural way always works. And having to grow twice as many plants isn’t a big deal for a home grower with four plants, though I can see why the big companies like fems.
Aside from that, I have no problem with feminized seeds.

So many amazing plants came from fem seeds from seeded bud, no male in sight, just some bananas here and there, all fem seeds… Why do I need a male here ?
If my pheno is growing strong, has good resistance to disease, is dense and meets my parameters of a good growing plant, and the effect is spectacular, why oh why I would mix another plant with it to make seeds outta it ?
Sure with a male is super easy but that’s old world technique, we are smarter today, we can reach our goal much more fast and efficiently.

By S3, just about anything is going to have insane amounts of inbreeding depression, it wont be worth growing. Ive even heard dudes like CSI and Skunkman Sam say the same thing. Their solution is outcross at that point. Its nothing to do with “doing the work” thats an irrelevant point.
Inbreeding depression. The few S2s Ive ran were over 50% runty junk, and no keepers. IDk how thats preserving something, at that point its a breeding tool for outcrossing and nothing else.
Again, inbreeding depression. It can happen in reg lines too. But using a bunch of males and females is how to best prevent it. And even the best seeds ever have a shelf life. Eventually, you have to remake seed stock.
Also, unless the plant being selfed is actually true breeding, its gonna be like running polyhybrid F2s. Theyre all over the board genetically. Its such a common thing for folks to S1 stuff, then noone finds anything like the mother plants. Any OG for example.
And again, Im not trying to shit on fems! Ive grown them forever, even selected commercial moms from fem seeds. But the end goal there is run a mom for a couple years, noone cared about actually keeping these things alive. Its far from an old world technique. Fems and regs should be both looked at as tools for a certain job. Not a right or wrong. Just depends on your goal! The goal of lots of folks on here, as well as myself is preservation. And multi-generational preservation with fems is a great way to end up with a bunch of seeds noone will grow lol. But hey, if you have some S7 seeds thatll actually pop. Ill happily be the first to help test em!

Nothing is holding you back. Go with what works for you.
I don’t think anyone is telling you that you can’t. It is your decision. Others have their own frame of reference. Their goals may differ from yours while also considering each of the reasons that you’ve noted. Disease, environment, et al.
As far as no one providing a logical or scientific reason for their decision to keep regulars, that’s not true. Such things are discussed regularly across the board.
Your goals certainly can differ from others goals. There is no problem there.
