Small containers and moving to veg ASAP is what I do also. Well this definitely saves time and space to use the 12/12 area for seed starts and get their sex in the process. Looks like my routine is changing up

I understand why folks like regulars. I do too and will continue to acquire and grow them when it’s the right thing.
It’s all about goals, timing and other constraints. For me, fems more reliably fit my purpose. Again, in VA, it’s 4-plants. I grow primarily for flower.
To help illustrate the point:
This is a beautiful (to me) plant. Great structure. Started in September.
About a week into flowering.
-Already have Shiskaberry pollen in the freezer.
This represents (to me) wasted time and more importantly a wasted plant.

You gotta buy so much at the dispo that they go in the back and crack a fresh pound for you (or know people who work there) otherwise you smoking lots of nose goo and Covid unless it’s pre-packaged with a boveda or boost pack. Sit a 58rh boost in some dry dispo shit and it’ll get better in a few weeks. Put a 62rh in some fresh sticky and it’ll stay that way. Gotta know brands etc, finding the right one was just as expensive as all the grow equipment for me in Oregon

The live rosin game is out of control here that’s for sure. I got some red leb for $10/g a few weeks ago was dreamy as shit took me way back to when I used to roll imported hash with tobacco.
But on the note of the thread, my absolute favorite strain was created by a rec producer here. It’s never been available in seed or clone form, and I’d never know what seeds to look for (this is where the importance of non-fem seeds come in) without them fighting it out in the legal scene throughout the entire downward price spiral. They have created revenue for seed companies in the process. I’d prefer to look at it as the entire system is working than one or the other.
It should be of note that some of the most in demand stuff at the stores here is available in seed form, in regs, and I’ve never seen anyone on OG* growing it or even mentioning the breeders.

this might actually benefit you so my bad lol… these guys hold and create some of the stuff here that produces the highest quality for price (and sometimes outright) hash in our market. they have the decibel wedding cake cut like as ive been hyping to you is a winner.

22 days from seed culled my first male autoflower tonight… probably could’ve seen it 5 days ago. Hardly seemed like a waste of resources or space to me.
I think reg autos would be a good stepping stone for people getting into regs based on that.

Every time I’ve gotten mac1 in maine it’s been really good. Always dense and crusted. From various places around Southern Maine. I feel like the mac fell out of popularity there tho. Seems like it used to be a staple.

Auto boys can go from not sexed to dropping pollen quick. But, if you give them a good look daily there really is no issue, and they’re never large when they start flowering. Most of them get their first balls right around d 20 days.

I’ve only smoked MAC 1 from a dispo. It was some of the better dispo weed I’ve had. Just goes to show, ymmv

ive only sampled the peanut butter apricot, the decibel wedding cake cut (and basically anything you can think of crossing to it), the straight jiffy cake and maybe one other. the pb apricot is a tasty one, i dont know about it having “psychedelic effects” like they describe though.

this has been my experience to a T both in cali, colorado and new england, the legal stuff leaves much to be desired whose effects are short duration, @Emeraldgreen looking at the genetics i blame the polyhybrid indica dom genetics. Growing pure sativas, i have found the effects to be way more diverse, more potent and longer lasting (dose dependent ofcourse but anywhere from 4-8 hours and experimenting with cobbed Indian varieties, found effects lasting for 12-15 hours)
