ReikoX's Auto Projects

Alright, so goal number one… just turn a photo to auto, I wont worry about the rest

go for it, and select plants that have the best traits you like, grow those offspring out and repeat, then grow those offspring out selecting from the 25% that will be auto at that stage and cross those and you will have a full auto.

Just did that with my C9D’s or well the 25% stage, but im calling that goal done and wont continue on those plants just cause im not a fan of the bud but my only goal was to do a photo cross and make it an auto.

This is one hell of a read haha thumbs up to all the info and I hope some of my autos turn out nearly half as good as some shown here!

I am rather enjoying this course in auto-flowering, thank you for sharing your knowledge and time across a large spectrum of topics here and in other threads. Your writing and instructional aptitude takes me back to my hemp cultivation days and beyond, I feel enlightened when I step away from taking in a better understanding horticulture that you are providing.

Can I sign up for the ghost wood and black rose ?

Holy cow! It’s been about a year since I worked on my auto projects. Now that my room is almost complete, I will be continuing my work with the Juanita la Lagrimosa x Lowryder2 project. F2s coming soon.

Right in time while I am holding a vial with Ruderalis seeds and wondering if I should plant one for some male auto pollen to get into autofication. You’re just the bad influence inspiration I need.

I actually have some Lowryder#2 seeds too as a second option. I’m leaning towards Ruderalis as they don’t bring THC which might be better if I want to use it on CBD plants. Does that make sense?

Only problem I see with using pure ruderalas would be if they are low in THC because they lack sufficient CBG synthase, they will not produce significant amounts of CBD either. Lowryder2 has been worked a bit to improve potency over old school ruderalas.

Is that their “secret”? TBH I don’t know much about Ruderalis, but I think the various CBD autos that I bought from breeders were Ruderalis crosses so it must have worked somehow.

CBG is a precursor to both THC and CBD. And Lowryder2 has ruderalas genetics in it. It sould work, if that’s what you are after. Grow a bunch and see what pops up eh?

That’s the part I know. I did not know about the low CBG synthase part. I guess I basically assumed low CBG → low THC/CBD without doing research or thinking about it much. Great input, thanks a lot!

To come back to your adventure…

I had to scroll quite a bit for that one

So that’s the upcoming stage, right?

yep, 25% of the F2s should auto. That’s the next step, fully automatic version of Juanita la Lagrimosa. I may do a BX later on as well… should be an exciting year.

I remember a schedule for the project with several backcrosses (I think) you planned pre workshop rebuild but could not find it scrolling up.

Yeah, I’m a little behind schedule. I remember thinking the rebuild would take me six weeks. Nine months later…

At least you did not get bored during the pandemic.

@ReikoX, is Lowryder2 your goto auto cross?

No, just my first. I stashed some pollen in the freezer and used it a few times. It worked really well taming the lanky Juanita clone.

Any recommendations for a larger Auto breeding parent.
