Still the same issue with the Flo cartridges. I think I’m going to go back to the 1/2 gram SPRK 2 cartridges. They seem to waste less than the full gram carts.

@ReikoX @jetdro maybe y’all can give me some advice. I have hash but no press will a wine bottle with warm water accomplish the same thing?
Let’s start from beginning I am testing cartridges and a pod system for Artrix for a review. Can I use same process for pods as cartridges? Thanks

I would say the hot water wine bottle will not work you have to decarb it

Ok have to decarb thanks but that isn’t the biggest issue. Is pressing it into rosin just to decarb it? Doesn’t jar tek cover that. I’m a toddler with all of this so please lay it out like you are talking to an idiot lol. Seriously I have zero frame of reference.

pretty sure you just make the live extract(hash) press it into rosin. Then seal it up and put it at whatever temp bake it until the bubbles stop put it into the cartridge.

ORiginally they used hair straighteners and quick clamps.

Ok so would hot water bottle work to turn into rosin then put rosin in cart and let it do its thing? I have bubble and dry ice hash to work with.

Probably not. IT has to be melted and pushed through a 25 micron bag.

Pressing it is to clean it up. Remove some waxes/melts them into the oils and removes plant matter so that it will work in a cartridge. Decarbing can be done at 240 for 35 minutes or whatnot or 195 for 4 hours. That’s to simply activate it which isn’t necessary for a cartridge. It’s not the same as @ReikoX 's method, but ideally you’d want to winterize it(mix it with alcohol and freeze to solidly waxes) then remove the ethanol/ever clear and you can put that in a cart. You can probably use a hair straightener or whatnot to press some hash, but it may be a pain for you.

Ok so with your method no pressing? Super cold everclear 151 proof or higher let the alcohol burn off in fridge an should fill a filling needle,? Or to make it easier do you have any links?

Hey bud, as mentioned above you can use hair straighteners, ime there’s a bit of waste and generally inefficient, that said if you’re not short of bud I’m sure you won’t mind.
Dry sift if my favourite so I’ve not tried to improve on the hair straighteners, it has crossed my mind to try an iron, you can vary the heat, you’ve git a flat metal bottom to work with, maybe x2 twisted together with rope for pressure

Going back and looking at reikos intro, it’s really the best way I think it could be put! It’ll be tough to make cartridges out of hash in that way without a press. You’ll pretty much need a press or a vacuum to make cartridges 
I can definitely detail a how-to if you would like to try an alcohol extraction, but then there’d be the issue of purging and also adding terpenes back. Perhaps someone else can chime in if they have a method I’m not familiar with

the other way to get it into a cart from hash form is to dissolve the hash into ethanol and render it to an oil. Then vacuum purge…it might be ready for a cart at that point
edit to add… pass it thru a 25 or 30 micron filter and then vac purge

The only way you will get it to flow in a cart, AND taste good, is to press the hash into rosin. Then the rosin is slow heated for hours to decarb and change its consistency. ALL chemically stipped thc carts SUCK…Taste is chemical n fake…once you hit REAL 100% rosin in a cart you will never buy anything else.
I made it using Reiko’s instructions, and it is excellent, but such a RPITA i will priolly not do it again

Jets not wrong. Though if you have the space and a few thousand to spare, a vacuum oven with a cold trap is the truth… lol pull the terps off your own herb while it decarbs, process it into clean oil and add your own terps back to it. Best I’ve had.
