I’ve been trying to get my hands on these for a long time lmao but i work 12 hours every Friday!
Yeah cool @Neb DM me your shipping details.
Excellent in depth report of your soil & I enjoyd reading it. Any chance this place you used for testing accepts Canadians?
Ps. I’ve been using " Seven Seas Veggies " for Sodium content & Kelp for my soils for a while now with good results… I get it from here. ORGANIC SEVEN SEA-VEGGIES BLEND – Om Foods | Organic Matters
It’s made up of dulse, nori, sea lettuce, wakame, kombu, longicruris, and knotted wrack flakes, it’s packed with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and trace elements & other Natural Nutrients…
Tottal Sodium 230.65mg of sodium per 7g…
Maybe check it out for yourself.
Always a pleasure to come visit here @ReikoX !! You got some healthy looking plants, and the set up is a smooth dream. As usual, lol you also toss out that OGenerosity like we’ve come to expect of you! Congrats to the winners!
Grow on!
Thanks man. Hopefully @Neb will be able to use these.
Other than shipping costs, soil samples are not an issue across the border. A little searching and you may be able to find somewhere in Canada to do the standard soil test. Not sure about the elevated ammonium acetate (AA8.2) test.
I really don’t want much sodium in my soil cation exchange, less than 1%. This is why the sea-90 is a foliar spray.
The veg rack is about 3/4 full now. Solo cups for the fall competition on top. Rooted clones on the second shelf. Got 100% rooting on those, been a long time since I got 100% rooting. On the third shelf are the sprouting autos.
I gave the beds with about 2 gallons of water. Then I decided to push the plants back under the screens. I got a bit heavy handed, let’s see if this heals or not. I normally train, then water.
I mixed up a foliar spray of 1/2 gallon water, 1/2 tsp sea-90, 1 tsp fulvic acid, and a dash of quillaja. I turned the lights down and sprayed the plants down.
And here is a little sneak peak of what I have coming up next in the workshop.
The solo cups I don’t see how they don’t fall over. I do believe in the spray. I like your mix of delicious delights. Very healthy looking plants.
Help us out. WTF is quilaja?
por favor
A natural wetting agent.
Morning everyone!! Hi ReikoX, meant to ask you, do you cut the lines in order to harvest? Or cut the plants? lol! Also, are there tubes of low wattage on top of the clones and auto trays? how much wattage, if yes? Looking really nice, as usual!! Thanks!
I am gonna guess he cuts the plants not the net . That way you can reuse the net
I added Quillaja half way through my last grow and I believe it made a tremendous difference, its also kinda fun to work with, I love the suds. Plants always seem to pray to the light after watering with it now.
Does this have a similar effect to Yucca? I’ve been adding Yucca to my nute routine for some time now and especially the solo-cups with great results which is why I’m extra curious about quilaja.
It’d be less hassle to just cut that netting! Cheap to replace and a pure pain to work around
There’s a few products that have saponins in them.
I believe Aloe is one and I’ve recently been making a solution with the leaves from a horsechesnut tree too.
@JohnnyPotseed nailed it. A roll of hemp twine was cheap and making the screens only takes a few minutes.
They are LEDs, I have them.dimmed to about 20% at the moment.
Yes, it’s the saponins that act as a wetting agent. Quillaja has more than yucca, so you can use less.
Yes, I’ve used aloe, yucca, soap nuts, and now quillaja. The Q is easiest to use, I’ve only had it for a couple weeks. The soap nuts are my second favorite, I soak them in vegetable glycerin and then use that.
Thanks @ReikoX , that’s really good to know!
It’s a new product Jeremy from Build-a-Soil is promoting. So far its a good product.
