Thankyou for the info kind sir
Looking beautiful as always @ReikoX. Thanks for sharing with us. Later.

Jabba’s Stash is flopping over all over the place. Had to add a bunch of stakes and tie up a few buds. These are about seven weeks now. I would say another week or two should finish them off. They smell amazing.
Cherry Tart in the ScrOG is almost done as well. The right plant is starting to bulk up a bit. Both of these were going to get culled, I’ll have to run the keeper again soon.
Looking awesome as always
Trying to get my Jabba seeds into the rotation. They look good.
Had more rain but the couple ReikoX FAMs survived.
Gotta love the “photo bomb” The sideways plant in back ground, lol! Doing something right when they lean like that
Cherry Tart in the no-till chugging along a 7.5 weeks. I attempted to treat this with water only. They got a top dress of EWC, once in veg and that was it. Not my best work, may just freeze everything and make some bubble. Ordered some S.F. nematodes to knock the fungus gnat population down.
Jabba’s Stash also abt 7.5 weeks. These are looking great with water only. I think I’ll do this again, but this time use tap water. The goal is to mix up some soil for beginners to just add feminized autos and water.
Juanita la Lagrimosa x Lowryder2 at two weeks. A tiny bit of stretch on these. So far this cross is doing what I wanted. Some smells similar to mom and a quicker flowering time thanks to dad.
Love all the setups you got going on man, and I give big respect to those that take the time to learn and make their own nutes/soils. Sorry to see those skunk go sideways on ya, I was rooting for ya to find that nice purple pheno. Love your rosin squisher outter lol. I downloaded your cookbook as well and will be taking a peek in there in the very near future, as I too love edibles, and make LOTS of budder. That cannagar is the best thing since sliced bread!!! I’mma have to look more into that and see how exactly it’s done. Make a couple for special occasions and all.
Well gonna park my ass here and watch another great grow unfold.
Oh, one more question as one living soil grower to another, cover crops… you find any real difference in using them?
I’ve used both rice hulls and clover as cover crops. I prefer the cover crops myself.
My bad, what I ment to say is, what benifits do you see come from them, as I’m never used them and am interested.
Nitrogen fixation and water retention are the main benefits.
Everything is looking good. Can’t wait to see how they finish up
I thought it was only when tilled in for the N, you would think that they would us up nutes outta the soil to grow. That’s why I never gave it much thought before, but I see lots of people using them.
So start the cover crop 1st then plant you plant into it?
Yep, that’s usually what I do.
So I’ve been wanting to upgrade my grow room for over a year now. My original plan was to redo the room after I got my yearly bonus. Unfortunately life got in the way, funds ran out, and I just kept growing.
Let’s start with what my workshop looks like currently. This is a top down view. The top and right side walls are exterior walls, 4’ underground. The other two walls are adjacent to living spaces in the 1/2 basement.
There are a couple of things that I don’t like about this room. First are the interior walls of the room itself. The walls themselves are framed, but instead of having sheetrock on them, they have paneling. I’ve hated this damn paneling since I moved in. Another issue I have is the door frame is about three inches too tall. This leaves a huge gap under the door.
So the first step would be to remove the paneling from the exterior of these walls, put up sheetrock, texture, and paint it. I can also fix the door frame so the door sits right. This can all be done while still growing since the interior walls will still be intact.
After that, I can move on to the interior walls. But first I have to decide how I want to lay it out.
I’ve started a discussion with @Mr.Sparkle about the layout of the room. The room is essentially 10’ x 10’. My original idea was to split the room up with two 5’ x 5’ rooms. But I didn’t want to get rid of my workbench or cab. I’ve grown attached to the no-till cab and the workbench is awesome for pressing rosin etc. The problem with this layout is there is not only 1’ 10" between the workbench and the wall, but I could fit my other cab in the “veg” side. This layout also required the use of pocket doors because there is no way to open the doors with only 22" of clearance.
The next thing I tried was cutting the workbench in half and turning it 90 degrees. I didn’t like the idea of cutting the workbench, plus it left a lot of unusable space in the grow room. It did solve the issue of having to use the pocket doors though.
After some thought, I decided maybe it would be better to run a 4’ x 5’ room instead of a 5’ x 5’ room… It would give me more room to keep the workbench and still be plenty of room to grow. Now we are getting somewhere.
I figured a 4’ x 4’ grow area would be easier to light, so I played with having two 4’ x 4’ areas and a small drying area. I didn’t really have enough room for the drying closet, it was only about 14" wide, not very useful.
That’s when @Mr.Sparkle suggested doing a 60/40 split of the area. This gives me a little bit more room in the veg area, I can put up cabinets or tents for drying and use this area for autos as well. Once I saw the sketch, I was sold.
I’m still working out the details, for example do I want one large pot, or four smaller ones?
The next question to tackle will be lighting. Do I build a new light, or just add to my curent strips? Fluence or ChilLED? Hydro or no-till? etc…
Someone Has some nice CAD software
Nice Job
What I want to know is how did you get grow room icons like the Press and air filters Pretty cool
It’s a free program called sketchup. Been using it for years. There is a component library. I typed in press and it showed up (note it’s just a shop press, but it gives the idea). The cabinet and workbench are completely modeled in this program by me.
So ReikoX, what would be optimal light schedule for one of these Auto’s?
Saw you can run them 24/0 but I do not personally believe that is good for any plant.
My belief is they have to have a “rest period” to function at peak levels.
Never run one, but something YOU SAID a while back has stuck with me. They can be used to fill up empty spots that just waste light.
Want to know this. Would it matter to the plant if some days she was 18/6 in my veg room, and then when she flowers, 12/12 under my big lights in the Flower room???
If I let her start under the 18/6, then bring her to my 12 hour room say 2-3 weeks into her flower, could I produce decent plants???
Figured you would be the one to ask about this, thinking of trying some Auto’s. Saw one here yesterday that kinda caught my eye. VERY jagged saw blades on it, looked like something I would like, came from you if not mistaken.
Thanks in advance
