I’ve been growing for more than a couple of decades, but I never tried to breed before. I guess there’s a first for everything.
I’m going to be open pollinating 5 different feminized strains with as many males come out of these 5 Thug Pug Pearly White seeds. Actually 4, since 1 is barely cracked open, but I’m only planting the 4 vigorous ones.
If none of them are males, then I’ll keep the females in veg while I grow out 5 more Pearly White’s. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that though.
As for the females, I’m waiting for the last strain to arrive which will be here in a couple of days. I’ll mention what they all are once they are all germinated. I didn’t start them yet. I figured I’d do the potential males first. Males seem to mature faster and show their stuff early, so figured I’d get a head start so I know what I’m working with.
24 hours soaking in a paper towel. I normally plant directly in soil, but wanted to know what I’m dealing with quickly, so used a paper towel. 4/5 in 24 hours, with the 5th just starting to crack open. I’ll let the 5th keep germinating to see what happens, but I’m not including it in this project.

Thug Pug seems to get a lot of love these days. Crosses should be fire.
Making seeds can be just as rewarding. Now-adays about 40% of my grows are for seed.
This is the first time I’m ever growing anything from Thug Pug. While this strain looks and sounds killer, I really wish I could find Garlic Breath. And by find, I mean for someone that is poor af lol
When my state went legal I got a bunch of samples from the dispo to compare with mine, and it was all the same cookies and gelato lineage crap, except for the GB… some of the best new weed I ever had.
Cool. I grew Black Phoenix v2 over the summer. took some clones. had a couple seeds drop n sprout. now one of them is overtaking the mother in the growbag. Also have a 5pk of Heartshaped Lunchbox (choc pie x the brunch) going. got like 4 different phenos. and 1 sugar rim.
Dirty Bird is a sister company to NASC. all out of Maine. it’s a girl named Beth, from what I’ve seen. Lots of good PBB crosses. “The Brunch” is Peanut Butter Breath by Thug Pug crossed with a Mimosa male from Symbiotic.

I did my first seed run not to long ago (one female & one male for F2’s, and a 2nd unrelated female for a cross) I just let the male open-dump in the tent with fans always going. Holy shit, what an absolute MESS and 1000’s of seeds I’ll probably never get to, but it was still an amazing learning experience. Have fun with it!
Thug pug is great stuff to grow. I really like Unicorn Meat. I tried Reversing this plant but it didn’t make pollen. Still got it as a clone at least. You’ll find fire with Thug Pug and might be one of the better costs per pack genetics out there. I usually go through Terpy Seeds.
