You can put 100 numbers ahead and write in the 101. BUT that do not prevent the overwrite.
If someone was editing before you, or someone edited while you were adding numbers (that person should have stopped after seeing you editing, but sometimes the icon of other user editing not appear till late or at all)… then when you save you will overwrite, altought you edited the #100 and the other the #3, #4 etc.
It is not a problem of overwriting the same number, it is a problem of editing a outdated post.
I try to explain it the more clear possible because you have done some mistakes (as almost everybody), and perhaps you think that if writing numbers ahead can be safe, but no.
Anyway, it cost nothing to leave a message and warn of the mistake. Nobody likes to come back after draw and see they were removed.
