Rhizotonic in rez?

Can i add rhizotonic to my aeroponic cloner?

Im tired of doing the fome method, plus it takes up room in my seedling/clone tent.

I bought this on amazon cause it was 20% off and it has a light so i can just stick it in a corner somewhere.

I had a homemade aerocloner years ago,but my cousin borrowed it and i never saw it again…along with everything else he borrowed…lol
Ive never put additives in the rez, just plain tap water,im wondering if the rhiz will speed up rooting

Any thoughts??

@Mburrs1952 IMO Hydroponics and anything organic is problematic. That product has kelp and other organic materials. There’s a chance that that could create a reaction in your reservoir especially as the reservoir warms up. IMO you should do a little homework on whether you wanna run a sterile reservoir or a beneficial reservoir. I always recommend beneficial, but this is definitely to each person and their needs or requirements. Some people run tapwater and have success. I believe in controlling the reservoir so it does not have a chance to create bacteria. You can do this with sterile options or beneficial options. But a good rule of thumb is nothing organic should be put into hydroponics. Even trace amounts can cause problems especially in a warm reservoir. Again, somebody else may use this product and have success, but it doesn’t look to be a good Hydro product just based on ingredients. Cheers !!!

Beneficial would be anything that would be a root inoculant. There is a few different ones out on the market. The one I would use would be Hydro Guard. That is truly a root inoculant. It is live bacteria that lives in your reservoir and protects your roots. Since they are a living organism, it does require at minimum adding weekly when you change your resivor’s but if you’re running a warm reservoir, I like to add in between reservoir swaps. Basically I’ll put two mills per gallon directly into the reservoir mid week to extend protection. They can have a very short lifespan if the reservoir is warm or has other issues. By adding every three days in between reservoir changes is poor man’s protection. You can’t really add too much hydro guard there’s no real downside. Again, you definitely wanna do your homework and decide whether you’re going beneficial or sterile. Lots of opinions on this topic that’s why I say do your homework… Cheers @Mburrs1952

Edit- There is really only two ways to run a reservoir, sterile or beneficial… anything else and you’re not running the reservoir it’s running you lol
