Thats explosive root growth to me…i wish i new how to grow hydro…never researched it much as i figure it out of my league still.
look how well @MadScientist did with his solo cup hempy buckets - look in to a perlite hempy bucket it’s basically like RDWC but the resevoir is just the bottom few inches of the bucket
you just drill a hole or 2 a couple inches up from the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket and fill up to the hole with perlite and then you can use the rest with soil/coco (or 100% perlite if you like) and then water til some comes out the hole. it’s kinda like a low commitment/cost beginner hydro setup - although it’s not only for beginners!
@Perndog could you give more details about your setup? are those connected to a bigger resevoir ?
Those girls are happy in those cups man, let me tell you. I never thought they would do like this, but there you go… Easy, not expensive and as long as you keep your ppm and pH controlled, it will reward you. I had my doubts you know.
2tokejoke I got the ph blue lab ph pen and the ec ppm bluelab wand and it def changed everything for me a lot of research went into learning the 5gallon buckets so cheap to make Happy growing my friend
