Like so many things in the Canna industry, Rosin presses can be had cheaper when you are able to DIY a little and buy from where the manufacturers source their own materials.
Rosin presses are essentially T-Shirt printing presses.
So I would buy one of those and then modify it where it needs but probably doesn’t need much as a T-Shirt press can already adjust the temperature and the pressure.
Same as with bubble bags, trim bins etc.
Those things were taken from “sief”-printing or “mesh”-printing systems for clothing articles as well.
Instead of a 70 bucks trim bin you can also buy a mesh-printing screen for clothing for like 20 bucks and just pop it into a plastic tote for 10 bucks. Same thing and probably a lot bigger than the trim bin (more material/more workspace).
Rosin press is the same from my research.
So if you want to save money on it, I would look into printing presses from clothes manufacturing. They are available in small versions for hobbyists as well.
I also recently saw a system for drying/curing buds for thousands of euro…
You can just buy a wine-fridge or fridge-sized cigar humidor. Might have to adapt the racking system inside or maybe add an additional fan for more air circulation or sth but that’s pretty much it and you will have a quite luxury version for around 500 bucks.
It’s kind of like the “gaming gear” for video gamers. Anything labeled “gaming” is just upcharged el-cheapo stuff.
If you spend the same amount of money on actual headphones instead of “gaming headset” you will get into the primo range of audiophile gear.
Same goes with stuff marketed towards stoners/growers imho
