Both nagens bat and bbd x bbb are getting to be pretty close to the same size, def seeing things stack and fatten up the most with the nagens bat, looks like the BBB cross is taking its time

looks like they’re staying short like the Black Cherry females I had. Too be fair though the BBDF2s I used to pollinate with the male black cherry pollen were on the short side as well compared to the F1s I ran originally. I’ll have to cruise through a few of these myself once I finish up this next planned run.

Ya def wasn’t a whole lot of stretch for bbd x bc but comparing update pics it did bush out a decent bit
The bbd x bbb I’m wondering how the buds are gonna turn out, seems slow to really stack on some weight so time will tell with that one
Nagens bat though really stretched up and putting some weight on that fat girl and now that the frost is really starting to come in this early into flower I expect some great things with that one
Bout another week I should be able to start updating on smells and in about 3-4 weeks we should plan a day to have ya come out and see the garden first hand when it looks the best

If ur chasing the short squatty and fat and get seeds out by next season honing in I’d be happy to test it! My goal next year is fat and squatty indicas

Definitely gonna be a chunk of indica! If I get a female I’ll probably continue to let her go naturally. I thought about topping but wanna see what she’ll do without!

I hear ya on that @NDNCHILD , the only topping that happened in my garden this year was from ants lol just haven’t messed with any training this year and seeing some of the topped ones bushing up and seeing the increased yields it reminds me to be much more aggressive about it next year lol was more focused on just getting anything off the ground with most vigor possible since I had a late season mid may- mid June start. But the purple Mexican heirloom x purple secret I got that was topped young has 4 big ass tops the length of my arm and faaaat. Is always cool and sometimes better to see how they will naturally shape and grow for sure though

I tend to like to grow one female of something new and see what it does. Some just scream top me , train me! 
and I will. If the plant could really do well either way I’ll leave it alone. I’ll take mental and more often these days actual notes as to have an informed decision on what I’d like to do the next time I grow it.

Hell ya! I usually do one off grows too, if I find something REALLY special I’ll chase it again for another grow or two but with the amount of genetics I have kicking around I’m just mostly trying to keep variety rolling and take a peek in it all

If we’re being honest…. That where I am at the moment as well. I just chopped a few but including those I had 36 strains going at the same time! I’m down to 33 with one confirmed male so far. But I’m keeping him too!

I didn’t have enough planning time that I ended up with a lot of doubles just filling the gaps in the garden instead of having empty spots from chopped males but that’s usually my goal, find 1 female in a strain and get her big, think im around 20ish strains for this season not counting the closet breeding

More than likely will but currently this is going to be the run of the BamBam going to use my BamBam male pollen I collected last year to pollinate 4 different varieties. This male seems to cross really well. Might have to try a Black Cherry F2 x BamBam. Got so much to do!
